Top notch! Part of Motorhead's appeal was they didn't take themselves too seriously...The world is a sadder place without this band. I will always treasure the memory of seeing them play live.
♠Yep. Motörhead or Motor mouth. Slang for speed freak. Lem made the correct choice with Motörhead. It does not get any heavier for a bad ass band name. And they backed it up musically 100%! RIP- LEMMY and Motörhead ♠(the first time I seen Motörhead was in 1981 Portland Oregon U.S.A. @ the old Paramount theater: OZZY w/ Randy Rhodes & Motörhead).☺♠
I remember watching this with my younger brother as kids, jumping up and down like lunatics, he passed away few years back, great times and great memories, swap shop was on the other channel, we only had 3 back then, we saw it as more for the swotty straight kids, tiswas was anarchic and great fun on Saturday mornings, we watched it religiously.
Perhaps he would've lived longer if he didn't slosh his brain around like that when you were kids, but at least he's energy with Lemmy now, and that is enviable.
Motorhead and tiswas, lots of awesomeness at once, so thankful they were in my childhood, and at 56 years of age I still listen to motorhead most days 👌
World's a sadder place without Lemmy, Motörhead & Tiswas (best kid's show ever - made being a Brummie fun!) - bet those kids had stiff necks the next day (first timers going all the way through "Ace of Spades"!)
hah hah hah - all the wee kids in the studio are headbanging - could not have this today - oh no .... not with the PC brigade - much missed times and band !
There was another occasion when they played a short set in the car park of the studios. The following week Chris Tarrant said that they'd had complaints about the noise from a hospital over a mile away.
Not sure if that was Tiswas or not,but I remember that as well.It was around the "Killed by Death" time in 1984,Wurzel,Phil Campbell and Pete Gill line up.It is on youtube somewhere.
