This was the last decade of footy as we had known it since the late 60s for me bar wages that deservedly had & should have risen long ago pro rata. 5yrs later it was, well a different ball game, literally & wages that were now out of sync in balance with the working man's game.
I rate him higher than Lukaku. His hold up and technical ability was much better than Lukaku's. People only see the past it's prime Heskey but the Leicester and early days Liverpool Heskey was a proper menace.
