Honestly, even without disclosing your age, some people can still guess a person's age group by their general attitude, typing style, or the type of conversation topics they pick. Some groomers would purposefully talk about school or homework to bait the target & check whether they're in a school age or not. Those groomers might also fake being an elementary/junior/highschooler too to lower your guard :( At this state, even just conversing normally to people is hard. You need to be cautious in picking your topics as to not unknowingly giving off hints that you're still a minor 😭
Also, please, don't give strangers your social media accounts or any kind of personal data. Use different names if you can and leave Sky friends be only Sky friends. Specially if you're a minor. Better safe than sorry.

I've had good chats with people who ask these two questions. It's how and when they ask them and how they act when they get an answer that determines if they are a creep.

I had an encounter like this yesterday, was doing my cr in vault then a moff friended me out of nowhere, he seemed chill at first then he asked my gender and age and what country i lived in and had the audacity to ask if i was in a relationship, so what i did was take him to gw and place him right in the path of a krill (i had krill repellent) and the minute it spotted us i booked it, poor creeper moff was krilled 3 times looking for me. Long story short. Sky isn't a dating game, don't use it as one ever.

Plus women are very much viewed as sexual objects to be married off. While what he’s doing is creepy as hell and weird, you do have to keep in mind cultural connotations. I got befriended by two moffs in a day. Since I thought it's better to get to know eachother (cuz I need to lead them), so I placed a table and one of them started asking where we're from and our ages. I almost panicked when they asked that. Turns out I was older than both of them and both of them were still minors. I was like "Oh my goodness, as a veteran, these moffs must be protected"

@Yousra Nawsheen Honestly with the exception of dating sims which are stories not chat rooms. I don't actually think I know of any games that exist solely to cater to the concept of dating people. There are dating apps but you can't hang out as a 3D avatar in those. That's not to say there are no chat room games that might cater to couples. But they don't just cater to couples and there's no implicit assumption that only someone looking for that sort of relationship can participate. To be honest given the memetic mess that is Tinder I'm not sure a chat room game designed exclusively for dating would work very well.
I had this moment when I was with my veteran at the music shop one time. I was obviously very excited about the idea of being able to try out the instruments since I was a moth (still am really) and didn't have any instruments of my own, so I was pretty much running around while my veteran just tailed behind. At some point I couldn't see him, and I found out it's because another sky kid was talking to him. I intended to ignore it since I thought he was talking to a friend, but it became increasingly obvious that the answers he was giving was getting more personal and he even started to refuse answering. At some point he started honking to get my attention, saying that this new sky kid wants to be shown around. At first it was a bit civil, the sky kid (female) lit my candle and he introduced me. But then "Oh, she's a girl!" answer came from him. The sky kid immediately logged off. My veteran couldn't figure out why (I kinda guessed why though), until she showed up again two minutes later all mopey and annoyed while we're on our way to grandma's. For the next 15 minutes she proceeds to try to get his attention again. Since sky chat is for everyone, my veteran shoots some comment at me often to the point that this gal asked at least 5 times if we were dating (we are not). After grandma, she befriended me, then proceed to say "[veteran] is very nice, you should keep an eye on him as his girlfriend. I might try to steal him away from you." I was a bit confused in my response but she then replied with "Welp! Off you both go then! I want to go around looking for a boyfriend. Bye!" and then she just flew away lmao. Idk what she's doing right now but that's gotta be the weirdest interaction I've ever had in sky

This is probably why I don’t really be-friend Moths. Don’t get me wrong, Moths are cool. But I’m slowly starting to lose faith in moths. I have a Moth-ish friend who get jealous when I’m with my other Sky friends. I don’t know what do to in this matter. If you find this comment, please give me some advice! Update: I finally blocked them. It kinda pained me doing so. But this “Sky friend” of mine is so confusing. I get these mixed feelings about this person. I feel like they were guilt-tripping and gaslighting me? If you were to see their chat log towards me, it sound kinda obsessive. But I don’t think they see was I see. They said something how they missed the “old me”. Well you lost me and my trust, when you got jealous when I was with my other Sky friends. As of now, I left Sky for a bit. But it’s more of having less screen time playing Sky. Is this what I get for being to nice and taken advantage of? New and current Sky players, be careful out there. It’s a big open world.
Just be honest, the game is intended to have multiple friends 🤷🏻♀️ I've learned that sometimes people's feelings get hurt which sucks, but at the end of the day I have boundaries and my mental health to care for. Sorry this has been happening, hopefully it works out for you 🥺
Its really not much different from real life, you can make friends with someone but more often than not they had friends if their own before. They need to accept that no one owes them their time or attention, maybe they're young and haven't figured that out in real life yet.

this once happened to me. long story short, he kept saying he's 27, wealthy, and kept calling me a pure adorable lady, told me I'd make a good house wife, etc etc. it went on for about an hour before i got annoyed and blocked him

I remember lighting up two players a couple months ago. I placed a campire using a spell. One of them was a female and the other was a male. The male player kept spouting love poetry and continued to do so no matter what i did. The female player, however, kept on apologising for her friend. I said that it was okay and we talk for a while longer while ignoring the guy. Afterwards, we part ways. Up until this day i still remember everything quite vividly. We were in wasteland.

I met a moth yesterday, I think they are a hacker. They suddenly put a table in front of me and wanted to talk so I sat with them. They said they wanted to find a partner to fulfill their heart's little wish. And they even wanted to add me as a friend. I didn't accept cuz I'm afraid that my acc would get banned. But I did enjoy talking to them, I mean like hackers aren't all that bad, at least they told me their reason. We said bye and they left afterwards :)
