I saw someone say the rooster didn't 'do' anything- he did. He gave an alert call. He Knew it wasn't dangerous, but he gave a 'heads up' call. The momma is just being protective. Roosters will give that 'heads up' call at many things, even sparrows swooping in- but there's a totally different noise for actual danger. But mom has babies, and is very protective. Badass momma indeed. She just saw another bird flying. The chicks are SO vulnerable, she wasn't going to take any chances.
@@timengineman2nd714 Chickens can't count. They may be able to subitize. Would you actually need to count to see if you wrere missing a child? You just lost any babysitting gig, my friend.
I love chickens they are such sweet little soul's just going about their business hurting no-one but any body who tries to get between a Momma hen and her chickadees better watch out because they are fearless momma's .♥️
Poor Dove, was like, "Hey! Here's a nice little place where a hungry dove like myself can get some left-over viddles! *lands* Oh, boy let's see if I-*-in comes momma hen full speed-*- HOLY SH- !*takes off*"
@@samshouse123 Perhaps to her supply of food.... I've seen other animals, even ones that are low on "the pecking order" go after anything that might eat their food (especially if it is smaller than them)!
What you didt noticed was that the roster was the first one to see the dove and sounded the warning ⚠️ and then the chicken reacted immediately the rooster saw the dove first. Look the rooster you will see.
I thought at first it was a hawk, but when I saw the rooster not giving a care on what's about to happen, so it might not be a real predator. How wonderful that Mama chicken is alert even if it's not an actual predator
I guess I'm the only one who noticed it was the DUCK who gave the warning call that alerted the chicken. Symbiotic relationship at it's best. Ducks are awesome!
@@adriancarrasco4865 But there is already an alternative. Eat vegan foods; I have already being doing this for almost 7 years. It is the best decision I have ever made; you will be at your healthiest.
This scene i have seen many times when we have Hens in our home...The hens flies along with the Hawk and Eagle as much it can able to fly.....Maximum 2floors of the home many times it Fighted with Cats and Dogs tooo....Hens doesn't matters their life to protect their chicks
Beautiful and Feisty Momma Hen! I was gonna ask if she's a Black Copper Maran but that breed has feathers on its feet, so maybe Momma Hen's a Black Australorp?
