This girl is NOT evil. She was clearly suffering from antenatal depression. Everyone is so aware of postnatal depression but not enough people know the real emotional and mental turmoil a woman can experience IN pregnancy too. I feel sad for her- the family member who changed the child's name took advantage of her and they know it! So glad she got her baby back and that the whole family can move on and mourn properly.

This is the most painful episode of paternity court case I have ever watched. I cried so much my eyes ached. How can a mother be so callous she will just give her child away without looking back. At least the happy ending will give the grandma something to cheer about. This baby will really know love.

That young grandmother is incredibly BEAUTIFUL inside out! She has been through an unimaginable pain losing 2 children. She behaves so well, she speaks calmly given the circumstances. You can feel her pain. When it was confirmed the child was her son's she couldn't stop crying she looked the other way expecting/hoping to hug with the other lady but she didn't even turn her head at her direction. I felt so sad for her. My condolences for her loss.

This is the sorriest story I ever heard. Even sadder because this is the exact same way my nephew was murdered. I hope the grandmother is granted the peace and respect she deserves. This “mother” is as trifling as they come.

I cried with happy tears for them. I say this out of love to that mans mom. God knows your heart is broken but joy comes in the morning. God counts a mothers tears and will stay with you both as you heal. Thank you both for being kind to each other in court. Congratulations on the news.

There is so many of our black and brown sisters and brothers leaving this world way too soon. Leaving young babies and children behind. With a few grandmothers stepping up and claiming their sons children. Some don't like the child's mom or whatever the case maybe. This mother(grandmother) was Amazing, well spoken and didn't take anything out on Ava's mom. If all the mothers(grandmothers) and fathers(grandfather s)in our community would back their sons up and be roll models like this mother, our children and grandchildren will succeed in life. Both the grandmother and mother are very calm and respectful even in the midst of the pain, frustration, and confusion. They allowed each other to speak their pain find the answer. So happy with the results!

It’s very clear this woman was suffering from Postpartum depression 💔and the mom and judge Lauren kept getting hung up on how she gave the baby up for a week... she clearly wasn’t in her right mind when she made that choice so I don’t know why judge Lauren never acknowledged that. Sometimes she seems very biased during cases where the father has passed.
