A lot of people have a weird, unrealistic view of their mother - as if she's not human. They operate under the delusion that their mothers were never young but the fact of the matter is moms are just people and they do all manner of un-motherly things. To prove it we went out onto Hollywood Blvd and asked moms to tell us one shocking thing about them that their kids didn't know.

I absolutely do empathize with what you said. The point that I would make in response is that every laugh that someone gets as a comedian is healing for the person laughing, and every joke you could ever make (that's genuinely funny) is going to hurt someone's feelings (save for pure wordplay and logic humor). For me it stings a little if someone makes a joke about alcoholism, autism, schizophrenia, or old people, because these things affect my family. I brush it off though, because I genuinely feel that it's worth it if a million people get to laugh and enjoy themselves for a moment. When you really think about it even someone slipping on a banana peel or pretending to be unintelligent for a joke are both actually quite dark. In Loony Tunes we see people fall off cliffs, we see Daffy Duck shot in the face with a shotgun, etc.. We just have to be a little tough if we are to engage in comedy. If we don't want to make that effort we always have drama, paintings, music, and so on. Sorry to ramble so long. I just think this is important.

+against the wind Haha, my mother had dark skin, black curly hair and brown eyes, and i was a white straight haired blonde with dark blue eyes and fair skin but we had the same eyes and mouths- yeah I look more like my father so it is possible :D

***** Haha I swear I am her real child. My brother is really dark and has dark blonde hair and brown eyes and he looks exactly like me :D Plus my mother was really sick and had some genetic deseases. And I have some of her sicknesses (yay). We also have the same weird birthmark on our necks. The whole family of my father was blonde, so I guess it comes from them. I am really sure that my mother was my real mother. I am also pretty sure that she wasn't even allowed to adopt kids (the rules in Germany were really stricts for foreigners) so yeah it is possible to have a blonde child if you are dark ^^

Why is that funny? It's sad if parents who adopted their children can't normalise it. It's just another way of becoming a family. Never is it a bad thing or something to be ashamed of. It's usually the best for that child.

I was adopted and is PISSES me off when people say my parents arnt my REAL parents... they’ve had me since I was 7 weeks old. They raised me. They taught me. They love me... THATS REAL PARENTS.
