It’s funny how people who criticize Mother Teresa never give examples of what she did wrong other than maybe her hospitals may not be up to snuff as if western hospitals are so perfect! Most of her critics wouldn’t even volunteer at their nearest homeless shelters or soup kitchens! LOL! Also consider her critics vested interests in taking her down! The Hindu nationalists who hate any non-Hindus living in India! They are a lot of ways fascists against non-Hindus like Christians, Muslims, Sikhs, Buddhists, etc. they certainly hated her proselytizing as she’s required to as a nun, though they certainly needed her help as they were too wrapped up in their caste system which kept those people poor! You never hear her critics condemn the caste system that created all of that poverty did ya? In fact they condemn you as a racist for criticizing the caste system! Then you have atheists like the late Christopher Hitchens who can’t fathom a deeply religious pious person being anything other than a hypocritical stingy Pharisee so they make up bs stories about her especially after her death so she can’t answer them! Then you have the liberals who hated her pro-life and pro-family views and having no qualms preaching them! So yeah there are a**holes in the world that hate pious people doing pious things! Go figure!

Maybe the elders in my community were wrong. Maybe I *should've* been a Priest... You must have the voice to sing, that's the thing. The criteria is clear. Yet... does it bring me comfort in any way that they were wrong about me...?? It does not.

I highly question all modern "saints" with exception to Saint Padre Pio.

She did some good. And she gave others a chance to do some good. But when the chips were down in a hard situation and the choice was between being pragmatic to do the right thing with no faith or dogma involved and being a faithful nun who did things according to her faith and dogma, sadly she always went the latter way. For me, I'd rather do what is right because IT IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO and skip the religious dogma. (BTW I am sternly pro-choice when it comes to abortion. To me, being pro-choice and pro-artificial contraceptives is the REALPRO-life position. To me, there is nothing pro-life about bringing a baby into the world if it is a result of incest or rape or the child has severe medical issues that will make it have a short painful life. Women are NEVER to be breeding machines. BTW there are things worse than abortion; incest, aggressive war, genocide, and global nuclear war.
