Did you sell your boat? I live near Lake Lanier and be 84 and a cancer survivor I decided that I need to go back to fishing. I really enjoy watching your videos Steve. Lake Murry looks like a super spot to spend to clear your mind. I just finish my treatments and slowly getting better physically and menially. I have my fingers crossed. Hope to meet you someday. 😀

I use those gulp plastics. You said you don't open them until you're ready to use them. A trick I use is the specimen cups they keep all the juice and dont leak.

They are really aggravating to fish with because they are so soft, but they work at times.

Hey Steve, I’m curious, I’ve got that same St. Croix 6’9” Panfish rod, but my rod sees only a fraction of the action yours does. I might be mistaken, but I’m thinking you’re using a braided line on that set up? Have you noticed any wear and tear on the stainless guides from the braided line? Had always heard braid was hard on guides without hard ceramic inserts for protection but I figured small baits and panfish aren’t putting a lot of strain on the guides. Just thought I’d check with you, cuz if you noticed any grooves being worn into your guides, I might switch back to mono.

You can blur out the background and don’t tell people the place you fish .. I do videos but I never tell people where the spot is or what lake or River .. our job is to give them content and show them how fish it’s up to them to find their own spot and learn how to apply what we show them.. they ask me a lot times where that spot but I don’t reply . A real fisherman can fish anywhere …and it don’t matter what state or body of water you in. . A real fisherman doesn’t need to take nobody spot they knows how to find fish and catch them.. I tell people a lot times it’s not the spot as much as it is the fisherman… most of time these people fish in a good spot but don’t know to use right bait and technique to catch them .. that’s the biggest problem more than the actual spot
@theoldfisherman2040
@theoldfisherman2040 11 месяцев назад
Well said my friend. I don't blur out the spot to give a great background scene, trying to give the complete feel of being in the boat, but it cost me my spots by doing that.
@WilliamsFamily899
@WilliamsFamily899 11 месяцев назад
@@theoldfisherman2040 yes I understand how you feel … I don’t discuss the lake or River I fish because of that … it helped me keep my spots to myself … I get that question so often where you catching bass at .. i simple say I fish and find fish lol 😂 and all you have to do is find them too … I have no specific spot .. I stay in Florida where there so many lakes and ponds and rivers to fish that it really doesn’t matter where you fish you can catch fish just about everywhere .. I also traveled to North. Carolina and caught fish there … I try telling people all time .. fish do the same thing everywhere no matter where you go it’s all about depth season and temperatures which all real fisherman already about .. it’s no reason to take people spots I don’t get it .. but thanks for great videos
