Mothers 

Mothers play a major role in all of our lives, and in this Caleb & Me story our Old Timer introduces us to three different mothers. Since he is eight years old at the time of the tale the Old Timer's own mother plays a crucial part and since he's telling the story to his two little granddaughters his wife Emeline has to be involved but the main focus of the story is his Ayrshire milk cow Daisy. Daisy is preparing to birth a calf and the anticipation is too much for the youngster who has been milking her morning and night for almost a year. With help from his dog Caleb the Old Timer prepares a straw filled stall for the new mother but complications arise and... well I can't say any more, you'll just have to listen to the story and find out what happens next.
