Just watched this live and not even going to lie, I got goosebumps when I heard him say it because hearing that song live for the first time in person was such an amazing experience for my fiancee and myself. These guys are truly talented and can't wait to see them live soon
The fact that they put on such a badass show without even having a physical fucking audience Watchung is absolutely insane and just goes to show how committed they are to their fans and the music. It's a testament to their talent as musicians, artists, and just a band.
Thank you so much for posting this! As someone who bought a ticket to watch the stream, I am so happy not only can I watch again but everyone who couldn't tune in can also enjoy an amazing show 🙌🖤
I also bought a ticket. So kind from you, you enjoy that everyone can witness this awesome concert. I was so in love I wwtched it three times that weekend 😍🤍
@@Ghosts727 there’s a backing vocal track yeah but he is definitely singing. Is there maybe some affects on his mic to clean it up a bit? Probably but that’s not unusual in music nor does it take away from him
@@Ghosts727 LoL you must be completely deaf :D If you wanna tell anyone that he isn’t singing, then you should start listening MIW and compare songs from their albums and this...stfu next time, you just embarrassing yourself
The fact that not only did they perform a fucking spectacular show outside of a literal haunted asylum but chris presumably entered said haunted asylum to run upstairs and climb out if a window for an epic end moment with roses and a drone....im awestruck 😱 honestly one of the coolest most badass bands ever and they clearly care deeply for putting on a good show for their fans 🥰 this is why us fans love you guys
@Kieran Picton i know what literal means theres no need to belittle people just because they believe something you dont, if you dont want to believe its haunted good for you but i believe it is 🤷♀️
Playing at an asylum with a horrific history/past isn't cool. Mentally ill patient's were tortured and abused here. But the music/singing etc was good, just not the place they chose to perform.
I’m grieving a lot right now. Nice to see comments of others who turn to this concert to help uplift them during a hard time too. MIW has a special place in my heart.
I love how everyone just looks like they belong in the band and then there’s Ryan. Looking like he just got out of a business meeting and slapped on a guitar and started playing.
Pennhurst is so dope. And to have a motionless dead stream there…. Easily one of the coolest things I’ve watched. The guys always know how to put on a show man🤘🤘
@Scott Doyle not even a little bit. The energy there is of GET THE FUCK OUT! They don't want anyone there. Everywhere you step you're being watched the energy was sad even a emo kid wouldn't understand the sadness I felt being there. I'll never go back. If anyone knew the truth they'd let this place burn and let the souls rest.
I saw them live like 2 weeks ago and Justin wasn't at the show. You could kinda tell that Chris was pushing himself a little to hard doing almost all the vocals himself. Show was still sick as fuck tho
Justin has his own band, named Cipher Sight which is pretty sick. Justin does vocals at every concert and with his band so he's definitely been trained. Dudes amazing too!
too powerful because I dont even want to see the concert in my state since justin wont be there! lol. Good backing vocals can make or break a show imo. INK sounded great live until they lost the first justin (debliek) Now its just an awkward guy dancing around with backups and actors lol
@@brucewayne9962 I've been a fan for a long time and honestly....Vinny just fits better musically. Yes....angelo was a better drummer but I think Vinny is a better fit.
The bassists voice complements Chris's voice so well! You guys brought such good energy and put on a great show. I couldn't be happier with this performance.
My father knew how much I love this band. I always played them loud enough for the whole neighborhood to hear. Sadly, he passed on November 26th of this year, after having a rough weekend following his funeral, I found this deadstream, playing every song I adore, I knew he sent this to me to let me know he's okay and he loves me and to hold this band close to my heart as I start the healing process. I can't enough of this and I'm so thankful my daddy sent me this. My daddy was my best friend and still is in the afterlife.
Sorry for your loss, and your father sounds fucking awesome, did he also like MIW? He will be with you forever the body may disappear but the memories remain
This is the best concert you could ever have when you’re at home and you get to see every single thing up close I can’t stop watching it thank you guys we needed it👽🛸
Never listened to the band before, this came up in my recommendations. I watched the whole thing and was amazed. Made a fan of me. My wife and I are hooked. Amazing show
This is probably the coolest thing anyone in music has done in a very long time. I can't say enough how much I appreciate you putting this up and making it feel like a real concert. Especially during times like these. THANK YOU!
Trivium did something similar & I think Trivium were one of the first ones to do a live performance stream. Not like this show, but same idea on it being a stream. The Hanger is where Trivium did theirs. This tho, was phenomenal and this has made me like this band more and more.
@@NisseA The 'plug in' you're referring to is a basic pop filter. All it does is allow vocals to come through without the audience hearing every time they 'pop' there lips for a b/p sound. There are artist who use filters and edits, but a trained ear (and a background in recording and producing music) you can tell artist like Chris, Brent Smith (Shinedown) and Amy Lee (Evanescence) are raw vocals with a pop filter. Hell, even artist like Slipknot, Godsmack and Linkin Park are 90% raw vocals underneath a basic pop filter. Some distortion here or there with maybe a softener overlay, but mostly raw input.
"Aw, cramp" at 48:08 It's the subtleties as well as the massive input from everyone that proves how much effort went into this and I am extremely grateful to be part of the miw universe
I'm loving the band members aesthetic. Like two are full on goth etc and the other are smart casual yet it blends. And that their music styles are hardcore/death core/butt rock etc makes them very accessible
you could also argue, that the outfit are due to the theme of the asylum, that the guitarist in his suit is somehow the manager of the asylum, the others an patients and nurses or something like this... many possibilities for interpretation ^^
I've been here with them since 2007 and I can't even tell you how happy I am to see how much they've grown and blown up, they deserve it for all the shit they've been through and all the hardwork💚
Man, I can only imagine how bad musicians must feel these couple of years. I mean, not being able to see the people that love and appreciate your work in a live audience has to be the worst feeling. I know that it feels strange not hearing peoples screams throughout the performance, and I’m just watching, can’t imagine what the band is thinks of not having people cheer and scream during the show. Hope they can do tours soon. I’ve been listening to the band for about 2 years and I like what I’ve heard, and want to see them live soon.
Just stumbled across your band like a couple of days ago and saw this video as a suggestion. You guys are really awesome. Doing this live stream and leaving it up on RU-vid for everyone to enjoy for free is incredible. I'm definitely going to start keeping track of you guys and see if I can see you in concert someday soon! You made a new fan by this performance alone! Well done, very well done!
Motionless in White will be performing in the Rockfest this July in Caddot, WI. It's posted in the community section of their channel. I hope this helps.
can we all just take a moment to appreciate how the intro and outro are two completely different vibes and I love it sm- like at the beginning when they're walking they look all dark and scary and then you just have chris and justin at the end being goofballs 😭- like I love my boys 🫂
city lights is such an important song in my life.. so when he said “f*ck that song here’s sinematic” i literally started crying because i thought they were going to play it😭😂
RU-vid suggested me this video and I clicked out of curiosity. It is my first time listening to "Motionless In White" and wow! I am impressed... this is so good, so much energy
@@jetleclaire5868 if you have no immune system then you constantly run the risk of getting sick may as well take a risk here and there and actually live, I'm not condemning your choice I'm just offering friendly advice, motionless puts on a great show don't miss the chance playing it safe.
Well, they got to fine tune it infinitely until they were happy with it before streaming. Most shows their sound is being dialed in during the first 2 or 3 songs.
I mean 1:03:24 that begining hit from Vinny, I'm done, production is....I don't have a word for them, Vinnys drum sound is absolute banger, awesome job
INK is amazing live & MIW has improved so much from when I seen them about 6 or 8 years ago. I know nothing of BVB but it for sure can't be a bad show. Enjoy!
I became a fan a year ago when we were deep into the pandemic and I live in Greece so this has been my only experience of a MIW "live" show. I remember how ecstatic I felt watching it even from my computer screen. Hope to see you in Europe soon 🔥
First off absolutely love this band and their music. Second I have lived near Pennhurst my entire life and have been several times over. Pennhurst has always been a part of my life in more ways than one. My great grandmother was a nurse there for years and my grandmother a CNA for a long time as well. When I first became a CNA and worked at a facility in west chester I had a few residents who once lived here. To see one of my favorite bands perform there? No words can describe it. I hope they got the chance to explore the facility a bit. It's beautiful in it's own way and words can't describe it really.
He’s actually a much better vocalist nowadays. Whatever he was doing on their first few albums was much more damaging to his voice compared to what he’s doing now
@@haileysuarez2903 at a show a few months ago he explicitly said his voice was strained because of too much touring. I just hope he doesn't hurt it cuz he is badass
@@Julian96760 that happens during touring for nearly every musician, including metalcore. But he’s less likely to damage his vocals because he’s using proper technique. By the end of a tour cycle, the voice is going to tire out no matter what. Him straining isn’t going to be a bad thing. Time off will help him heal. It’s if he was touring AND using incorrect vocal techniques is when he should be worried. But he’s got that covered. During the Graveyard Shift era, he took vocal lessons and handles it much better. You can hear in the music as well.
I might have to watch this over and over again. Chris has so much energy and no crowd. This is why MIW is my favorite band. what an amazing production. Loved it all good work Crew.
Im so glad I found this band they have helped me thu so much when my mental issues were just really bad and just help me get put of a funk and or just keep my mind busy and happy for just a bit and thank you guys so so much 🖤🖤
I just recently got into the metal music scene and there's no doubt that this is a ride or die band for me. I get the good shivers the second I hear the first scream, I'm never going back from this.
I will admit something here...when I first found out MIW were going to be covering Somebody Told Me I was a bit hesitant to listen to it considering it's a Pop song and MIW are Metalcore BUT after hearing them perform it live on one of their streams I fell in love with this version. Chris is amazing, the entire band did an amazing job coming extremely close to sounding just like the original
Being a metal/Hardcore fan for 34 years it is awsome to find something fresh that does not just blend in with the rest of the scene. Will definitely follow these guys
@@barbee0930 true. i would wish to see them but with this pandemic maybe soon. same with me my playlist is full of MIW and a band from Philippines Slapshock these two bands save my life in my teenage years.
@@kurambuz4200 I hope you will get the chance to see them soon. I got to see them live in my country in 2015 (omg it was 7 years ago..), it was epic, a dream came true. I just checked the other band you mentioned, they are indeed really good too! I wish you much joy in your life, sending you positive energy! :)
@@barbee0930 thank you so much same to you too. sadly the vocalist of slapshock committed suicide in November 26 2020 they are really a great band they worked with Korn, Disturbed and System of a Down. my band also cover their songs also Smoke and Abegail of MiW.
Awe, the ghosts 👻 finally have some great entertainment! So glad they did this as I don't go to concerts anymore. I'm sure we can spot a ghost or 2 if we look closely!! 😁😁 PS: Best version of Somebody Told Me I've ever heard!
In April I went to a beartooth concert in Berlin with some friends only knowing two songs of beartooth. Now one of my friends and me are addicted to MiW who played as pre-band there. Always nice to explore new music in that kind of way. We even skipped foo fighters at Rock im Park this month to see motionless in white again and it was definitely worth it ! 👍 so happy to have your music every day
Eternally yours is peak for Chris and the band it has screaming it has light parts in the chorus it has a mf breakdown the lyrics hit hard asf eternally yours is my favorite along with Abigail and soft
