This is the track that started it all. I recall walking into a record store, and I happened to notice this album cover. After flipping it over and seeing the band, I had to buy it. Perhaps the best 1980s hair metal album of all time. Put the needle on the record for track #1, and this is what you got.

it's kind of sad - I used to go to a Motley tribute band's shows quite frequently in the past, and at the end of Live Wire, I always whistled, clapped, screamed out "Yeaaahhh" in the silent spots - but not many other people in the audience was aware that they should be doing this. In my brain, this is just part of the song.

I got a tape of this album from a friend in Cali.. Blew me away.. THEN.. Mid 1982 I was watching some music show (not mtv).. and they plat this video of hot new band from LA... and there it was.. the vid for this song... I became a top monster fan that night... CRUE 1

This is the original Leathur Records version before they were signed to Elektra and they had it remixed. Not for the better necessarily.

jarjon76 they used make up, guitar distortion and the chorus are essential for every Glam Metal band, before the 80’s, they turned into Grunge (Mötley Crüe album) and then into hard rock.

The original mix of TOO FAST FOR LOVE is available only as part of the boxed set MUSIC TO CRASH YOUR CAR TO (Vol.1). It's been out of print for years, along with Vol. 2 but I'm sure you can get it on Ebay or Amazon.

I absolutely love this version. I had a picture disc with the original "Leathur records " versions of piece of your action and live wire. Back in the day we had to hit import record stores. Used albums etc to find rare recordings. Motley self printed " Too fast for love" and their original self label was Leathur records. Obviously before "Motley records". Those original recordings I. M.O. (of most of the songs) were better. Live wire was virtually the same. Piece of your action had more echo on Vince. The first two albums are untouchable. Motley at their best. Was a great time to be young and witnessing all those bands young and hungry. Killin it.
