Guy & Jayden are back! This time we took the Starks up to Mablethorpe for the sand racing championship. They showed their true potential against a full line up of 450s and the boys had a tonne of fun!

They are not in it for the green credentials, they are on them 'cos they think they are better race bikes but if you want to get pedantic about it, gennies are generally more efficient as they run at a constant speed and can more easily be set up to run on greener fuels, anything from bio diesel to LPG so given there will be charging losses it probably all comes out pretty even with an IC bike.

So what if they are charging them from generators? Battery tech will get better. Maybe even modular slot in cells that can be changed as fast as filling a tank. It's just the beginning. Like it or not, there's a future for these. Especially on areas where tracks get shut down because of noise concerns.

I’ve had many Crossers from 80cc, 85, 125, 250, 500 two strokes… Rode a Husky 500cc 4 stoke last week, and a lot of torque. But I just love 2 strokes. I’d love to have a ride on one of those Electric bikes… Guy’s a legend to me, always loved watching him road racing.. Guy will have a go at anything. Keep shining Guy ✌🏼

What they should do is covert the clutch levet to something that modultes the power/voltage so you can emulate feathering the clutch, simple really...

A reverse throttle? It wouldn't have the same feel, there's barely any flywheel weight to the electric motor. Brake on the left hand is so good though, much better modulation on the hand vs a MX boot. Feet are free to be in the best grip position and not brake/shift. The pure riding focus you can achieve on electric is so good. No distractions.

Fun they maybe but out in the desert i doubt the goannas will run the treadmill to charge ya toys.. fuel is hard to beat.. horses for courses.. nothing beats the sound of combustion.. 😂😂😂

red arch solar panels on 4x4 run my welder for 4 weeks at a time so pretty sure it will charge these bikes pretty fast

I'm talkin 3, 6 hours out in the sand n rocks and light scrub called grazing country.. not track queens.. we will stick with what works, combustion.. ev just can't come close for the long miles..

Some peice of kit that. When Jay hammered it off the line it just took off. Once people start winning on them, i wouldnt be suprised if they get neutered for racing against all the 450s. Cant see all the bigwigs in japan & austria being happy about it.

This happened during FIM. Stark was approved to race until last minute likely because the practice lap times were "too fast"

Rules say 2 or 4 stroke bikes so technically electric bikes aren’t eligible for points. Ideally a separate class should be made.

Will be a while until there's enough electrics around for their own class. They should be in 450/open class initially then maybe their own class if there's enough of them or they dominate podiums. I want to see the ⛽ vs 🔋 battle for at least a few seasons 😂

Varg has never pitched the green part of its bike. It has focused on performance, less maintenance and less noise. A diesel generator will not annoy people like a loud 450 will.

Cold day, they needed an electric car to self combust and keep everyone warm. No real man would be seen on an ebike, or have his girlfriend dragging a petrol powered generator around for him. Real bikes have petrol in the tank and real girlfriends drag the beer around for their guys.

Hole shots are where electrics do best. It legit might be an unfair advantage in that respect, especially hare scrambles since you don't need to start your motor
