Kimbo? Who is Kimbo? I am the only Kjmbo i know. I did own a v7 sport for ten years. My favorite bike and probably the best handling bike i ever rode. Think the rotation of engine, flywheel, clutch, transmission drive shaft in one plane and the wheels and ring gear rotating in a perpendicular plane creates a gyroscopic stability that made picking a line, leaning the bike and and the Guzzi would hold that line and lean angle through the entire turn.
I'm about to faint! sooooo beautiful! Totally my taste, all the aluminum and silver, just great ! All the details so perfect, I ve never seen scuh a thing before ! hats off ! Is this street legal with the open intake funnels and open exhaust bags?
@@levarris14 thank you 🙏 yes it’s street legal here in the Uk 😁. It is one of my many bike builds. It is however my first Moto Guzzi. I normally build Ducati bikes. take a look at my blog. Www.Jtccc.Wordpress.Com
@@levarris14 I have been retired for 14 years, so have plenty of time for my hobbies. I tend to build a bike over the winter, and then ride it all summer.
I have always loved the Moto Guzzi Engines.... Great job Tony it is beautiful....way better looking now then when new....I have never liked the "Custom Look" and they are way more difficult to get the right stance when modifying. Simple and clean the way it should be! The machine work is fantastic as well!
Bellissima custom complimenti Tony, una nuda minimalista speciale, chissà che emozioni provi guidandola. Lavoro da genio della meccanica sei un mago. Ti mando un saluto speciale dal lago maggiore ciao e buona fortuna.
thank you! it rides like a dream! I have fond memories of our holidays on lake Maggiore! check out my blog for my other bikes... www.jtccc.wordpress.com
Thanks! I started off with a 60 grit flap wheel to take the bulk of the material off. I then used a flat sanding disc with, 180 grit to finish it off. I also used some thin sheet steel between the fins so I didn’t damage the one underneath as I was grinding. There is more information on my blog, and also if you look through my videos on here, there is one of me actually doing it to the barrels. Www.Jtccc.Wordpress.Com
@@workshopshep sure. These fit on a standard angle grinder 👍 www.ebay.co.uk/itm/131723681825?epid=1062142296&hash=item1eab57e021:g:g6sAAOSwNzNkXhXO&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA4KrJ3hBtOo1IM2acoGeCfsVGgLGjgXUDhbhMBUHhPGqQ4lL8ibyk70cAGCYQULYN0PAKCUaxtjvb7CjHnbzVRTNagyMDsSFqbl6EHeFIA3QjpVEMf%2FofRpI2bF5Kq9I1eSN3oMQSvTpcrHm98GnpTUNcp%2FDJGFL2A3ZLq3yN8JjagFvgVFOCk4KxHh%2F7P9iGORnX%2FGt5XojryaBaYfc3RtXyQtJT3Kin4WDU99UjTBxdaxBwPwMMAjrIGXq%2FpBbxF%2B4dyfkpPxV1sfyF2L5UuES9tJOdaQtVZ1ohLc8EHhqT%7Ctkp%3ABFBMgP7extBi
Followed the build on FB, enjoyed the video albeit with a large amount of envy at the skill level and continually thinking 'why didn't I do that'. Take care and Happy New Year when it comes.
Magnificent Tony, So glad you shared this video and that I got a chance to watch it! You have borought a little bit of joy into this world with this bike!
Thanks! The tank is off a V7 and I have blanked off the fuel pump opening with a plate and welded on an outlet at the rear. There is much more information on my blog but I am happy to answer any questions you have www.jtccc.wordpress.com
Hi, I was lucky and managed to buy a big box of Brembo seal kits many years ago and have slowly used them up over the years... they are difficult to get now, but there are some on Ebay. |I bought the seals amd many other parts from Gutsibits as they are very good and competitive!
thanks, round covers will fit with an adaptor plate, but I actually quite like the ones that are on, especially as the round one asre so expensive to buy!
outstanding! someone notable in the moto world said rhe way to build a good bike "is to add lightness, and simplicate.' but i wouldn't ride without a rear mud guard. even sunny sunday riders get caught in the rain.
That big empty space where the air box was would have to become the fuel tank, improving the COG significantly. Or as an auxiliary tank it would be very effective as well. Beautiful machine ✌️🇺🇸
@@jtccc I was on my Bellagio with the V7 tank and seat. You also had the Ducati in the same colour, absolutely beautiful bikes you really have a talent. It was a lovely day out seeing so many beautiful Italian bikes.
@@paulcooper5610 yes I remember seeing your bike. Very nice. Yes I was also there on one of my Ducati‘s. I have built quite a few over the years, but that was my first Guzzi, but not the last! Take a look at my blog. www.jtccc.Wordpress.com
The bike looks great! Love the colour and the mazing work you have done. I notice you no longer have the battery plate but I couldn't see anything else there which is doing its job in its place. I replaced my original battery plate because it had split in one corner and the holes were ovalled, evidence that a lot of twisting forces go through this plate. I think on some Calis they had a part of the frame that came down to meet the gearbox but I can't see that either.
Hi Tim, no problem. I use an ignitech TICP4 which is a very good unit. its fully programable and will work off the existing sensors. more infor on my blog, but always happy to answer questions! www.jtccc.wordpress.com
Hi. That one is 10mm with 1mm wall thickness… but I also use 12mm 2mm if it needs to be stronger. More information on my blog 👍 www.jtccc.wordpress.com
@@jtccc Interesting! Love your solution for manufacturing the ends of the tube. I had the same problem in my build and I ended up ordering a milled part and welding it.
@@jtccc interesting. very hard to see it. I appreciate the huge work you put in! I have a SP2 that bought new in 1985 and rode me all across Europe several times. All original.
@@fabiopunk1661 thanks, take a look at my blog, there are some more pictures on there... I am looking forward to riding it, never ridden a guzzi before, its usually Ducati and Harley! www.jtccc.wordpress.com
