You can get thin wall sockets to fit that lock nut also you could use sheet aluminium to fabricate a tube to go over what is basically a dust cover for the u.j. and have the case crack tig welded depending on how expensive a replacement case is going to be. Many years ago I had an adjustable King-Dick. Just saying.
