Maybe not in single lap! But how about in 1000 laps race ? Doctor will die and Motobot will just change his battery and go! Hes useful in testing bikes you know!
Hes for sure more consistent with pushing the limit. The doc has a huge advantage on weight transfer though. Motobot looks like he is fixed in position
+Christine Papaioannou I didn't think they were in an English class.... appreciate the effort, at least that multiple world riding champion e that world class engineer are doing something extraordinary... I'm not even interested on what you have been up to lately.
See here, so that's why we Japanese don't wana talk english. P.S. I meant the comments that laughing at japanese-english, not for the japanese guy taking in this video. I was like him and unfortunately saw the most of japanese students quiet in the college class in the U.S.
His English is much better than my Japanese. I’ll never understand why someone feels self conscious for not speaking a second or third language perfectly. Full respect to the Japanese guy. AND their engineering team for their incredible work.
1. His english with japaneese accent is soothing to listen to 2. This brilliant robotics scientist speaks AT LEAST 2 languages. What does anyone have to criticize him for? Wonderful footage!
This is an epic. yamaha should collect all the data from rossi's mind to develop future motorbike. ..I mean "all" data from rossi including body gestures and even a small things like the accent. will be amazing in 50 years later, rossi reborn...but being a robot...
Valentino Rossi, the name the motor world will always remember. records are meant to be broken,, there may come a rider , winning more trophies than rossi.,, but the Spirit this man has given to Bike racing, was ,is and will be unmatched. my favorite rider. Thank you Rossi for your contribution.
Andeng Alvarez You just can’t help yourself can you.... “here skynet, do this and this and this to destroy us humans quicker, eff John Connor, he can’t save us from you.”
Some years ago, Valo was not speaking english in intervews after racing at all! And now... But i'm realy impresst over the development of the robottechnik in this century. 🤖
This seems like the premise to a sonic video game; Dr robotnik, " Curse that speedy Rossi! No matter, I will build a machine that can defeat him! One that not even Rossi's speed can beat! AHAHAHAHA!"
Bonito. Inteligente. Tecnologia. Japão. Piloto bom o Valentino. O piloto robô também. Coisa de povo japonês, muito inteligente. Parabéns a todos. Tudo campeões. Estou vendo aqui do BRASIL.
there's something motobot hasn't got: fear, a family and respect for falling. That would make motobot faster than Vale. but in this case I think that human factor can make a difference
+yutokinemi unless the motobot has the ability to shift it's weight on the bike, a human will be faster. shifting weight(CG) during corners helps alot.
Lorenzo , Marquez won't be getting extraordinary things like these as a tribute , compliments from big corporations to them . unless they're Valentino Rossi . There's no one like 46 in the world of motorcycles racing . By creating the Yamaha motobot as a debut to challenge The Doctor is the most high tribute from a big corporation to 46 .
Keith leong 賢 Yeah, and it is annoying how other people view this as nothing more than a marketing ploy. I mean seriously??? Were lucky enough that Yamaha™ is sharing this to us!
Yeah, it seems like maybe Honda fans have forgotten that Rossi won three consecutive GP World Championships for Honda (2001 NSR500, 2002-2003 RC211CV) and, in the twelve seasons completed since then, Honda has only won four championships...total (1 Hayden, 1 Stoner, 2 Marquez) while Rossi has earned ANOTHER four by himself for Yamaha.
Bobby Bob Yeah! Rossi helped develop Honda's infamous fireblade! It wasn't Hayden, Biaggi or Gibernau that made CBR to what it was back in 2000s era! And that 2006 championship was rigged! Michelin gave Rossi a terrible pair of tires on race day in Valencia but that's just my conspiracy theory but seriously, Rossi should've won that championship! and no kudos to Hayden sorry
While Rossi is faster than the robot he is one of the fastest humans on a racetrack. The rest of us mortals are not even close to the robot. The robot will improve with time. How fast would Rossi be without traction control? BTW I think that Rossi is a great rider and the best ambassador for the sport
As an engineer, I always dreamed of a category where the driver was a humanoid robot like that (car or motorcycle). then engineers would get rid of security rules. there would be a human driver for part of the race, with the power of the engine electronically limited (and a couple of other stuff also limited, and maybe they would run just in a safer part of the track), then he would switch places with the robot in the middle of the race, then the vehicle would be free of limits. this would allow an even greater and faster development of the technology used in the construction of vehicles. let's just imagine the top speed of a vehicle like that
They should make those outriggers available to riders who have had amputations. I have seen double amputees who created their own home made outriggers mounted like saddlebags to hold the bike upright at stops and retract as soon as they move. The rider had some serious ba^ls. As an amputee myself I have restricted myself to cruisers with heel toe shifts or automatics. Had to sell the GSXR. Perhaps Ill try a electronics electric shifter one day.
The computer is gonna have to step it up. Because our brains dont be fukin around when we feel that rear tire starting to slip through the vibrations of the bike.
