Motor planning Day at PlaySTreet 

Today's group activity was focused on motor planning and coordination through animal walks. We made the patterned line with masking tape. One can also use insulation tape or cut out chart paper and fix it on the floor.
You can try this activity at home. If your child is not able to do crawling with a ball, make them just crawl and if they're not able to crawl, either support them as we have shown in the video or start by making them walk on the patterned line. You can also make them do other animal walks like bear walk, duck walk, wheel barrow walk etc using this same pattern. This activity works on their motor planning, advanced gross motor skills, bilateral coordination, gross and fine motor strength and integration of retained primitive reflexes.
