Völlig sinnlose Logistik. Ich hätte in diesen Konvoi noch weitere überflüssige Fahrzeuge einbauen können z.B. Schminkwagen für die Damen Obama und Wowereit, Mobilkran (für alle Fälle), Toilettenfahrzeug, mobile FLAK-Rampe, Abschleppwagen (warum auch immer), Mähdrescher (ist genauso sinnvoll wie die zahlreichen umweltschonenden Begleitfahrzeuge) und als Krönung einen guten alten Lanz!!!

And since the Federal Police is .. well ... on a federal level, the blue police cars from the Federal Police can be found also in Bavaria ^^ To make things worse, some Riot Police untis have a new design to SWAT trucks and water cannon trucks, some of them are now in darg-grey with dark blue. The reason why Bavaria might stick to the green ones up to now, that they don't do the mistake switching over to blue at once, but first see which experiences the other state police services get (like blue and silver not being the best colors concerning the visibility); However, the Bavarian State Police will now test some blue police uniforms, and thus it might happen in the next few years that also the police cars will be switched to blue

They do +-10k USD. First prices are different between the US and Germany, so I of course don't take the price at which it's sold in the US, but the one from here (cause the police buys here), and then convert it to USD, plus it's an authority upgrade, the police version, which again costs quite a lot upon the civil version of e.g. the Sprinter and you get a good van/mini van also for sth between 27 and 40k

Apart from that, this ain't normal State Police, but Riot Police, and those vans are light crew carriers, so it makes sense that they don't use e.g. a Crown Vic as crew carrier... And fyi vans are also perfectly suitable as patrol cars for the State Police, you have some good working space in there, and it't ain't slow at all!

Veranstaltungen: CBSS in Stralsund sind rund 40 kürzere Konvois, G8-Gipfel in Heiligendamm waren 18000 Polizisten im EInsatz, und EInsätze in Hinblick auf eine EInzelperson: Papstbesuch, da waren 16000 Polizisten eingesetzt (mehr als 3 mal mehr als bei Obama, plus es wurd ne Woche lang geprobt) und dabei wird jeweils drauf geachtet die Kosten so gering wie möglich zu halten, z.B. indem man nicht die eigenen Polizeikräfte einsetzt sondern die Kräfte aus z.B. Bayern leiht

true, but MAYBE when you have such a VIP in your city you don't necessarily want him to be stuck in traffic jam? e.g. at the airport where he arrived in Berlin, there you could easily end up in a 10 to 20 minutes traffic jam. The vehicle is staffed with one emergency doctor because paramedics are not allowed to do anything / can. And if someone is injured, it can engage. This Man is the most powerful man of the world and many might want to see him dead.

He doesn't have these long motorcades, but he does have his regular secret service protection(Which is 4 cars I believe, 2 of them being suvs)

That was an ambulance, and yellow is the standard EMS vehicle color in most European countries (as far as I know).

I don't really understand why would anyone try to ambush their motorcade in the first place? they have watched too many movies where they tend to do that, and what would be the point to ambush them anyway? those black suvs are equipped with god damn miniguns. If someone wanted to kill him, he would do it when he is outside, meeting people, not when he is sitting in his armoured car, surrounded by dozen other cars, some of them having miniguns on them. It would be suicide to ambush his motorcade.

The President isn't the only thing their protecting. Sure he's the number one prority with his own two cars, but the Secret Service and German Police also bring along U.S Senators, Representatives, Cabinets, you name it. They're in those Black and Grey Vans and sometimes in those commercial cars. The U.S wants to make sure the President is safe. You can name all the things that can go wrong during the motorcade and the Secret Service has already planned out a way of overcoming them.
