After watching this, it makes me wish for younger days, there are more days behind me , then in front of me. advice: work to live, not live to work. Experience all you can while your young, LIFE IS SHORT

I live in Australia and am 65. I have done 5 major road trips on a road bike (each in excess of 2000km) but none of my road trips compare to your epic ride. Totally amazing !! well put together and just the sound of the bike -- best background music of all. I hope you get to do some more of these while you are young and can. Thanks for uploading. Stay upright.

*A W E S O M E* footage of a ride that many viewers will never get the opportunity to take. Thank you, thank you, thank you for taking the extra time and narrating your journey, and not overlaying your video with unimaginative computer generated music like so many other creators do. It makes your video so much more enjoyable and quite frankly, drew me in. My biggest regret about this video: I can only give it one "like". I wish the technology would let me dance all over that thumbs up icon. I can't say it enough - great video.

Love the horns honking during a mishap. I've done it too! What caused all the flats? Moab is so fun. Been there the past 2 Marches and will hit it May 2017 for more slickrock (and sand) fun. Baby powder dust truly sucks. It's actually very dangerous and I find it harder to ride in than snow! Nice you could meet up with some other riders but not be attached the whole trip. Sometimes it's nice to camp & ride by yourself...except when there are bears and sasquatches! Thanks for the video.
@DrewGaines940
@DrewGaines940 7 лет назад
I seem to always hit the horn during a spill and attract more attention to my calamities. My first flat was a result of too little pressure in the rear tire. I was running about 15psi on hard rock. My only spare tubes were for the front 21in. tire so I had to shove those in the rear wheel (my brother, a motorcycle mechanic, ensured me that I don't need to carry different size tubes). Eventually, two of those popped from being squeezed into the rear tire. But I didn't have any issues after I picked-up the correct size in Moab. Moab was truly one of the highlights, I'd love to get back there on a smaller bike. Thanks for watching!

Thank you for taking the time to set up the shots to document your TAT adventure, and for editing the video for our benefit. Many people believe their ADV travels must be a long series, day by day, adding up to hours. Sometimes less is more. You managed to give a great representation of the western TAT in less than 11 minutes, for maximal impact. I love your calm presentation that lets the trip speak for itself. I'm probably too old for the TAT, particularly solo, but I have a dream of riding dirt roads and back roads through the desert southwest and your video added to my motivation.

In 12 days, I rode through 21 states at approximately 8,500 miles, on the blacktop. I left Florida, northeast to Sturgis, west to Montana. I headed southwest to California and Tijuana, then rode east to the Grand Canyon and south through TX and eventually New Orleans. The last bit was traveling east across the south back to Florida. My thought was to make my next trip off road like you did. That must have been a great ride!

Hello from Danville,VA - Great video and if you still check posts here I am wondering if you could give a trip equipment check list you had for this trip - Tent,cooking essentials, tools etc... I just traded my 2013 Harley Davidson Wide Glide that I put 17,555 miles on for a 2018 KLR all black model. I am 50 years old and have had 2 KZ1000s, a 03 ZX6RR the Harley and now looking to get as far away from the nutty 4 wheelers that I can and enjoy "some" road travel that leads to more OFF ROAD travelling adventures. Again, great video !

Having ridden most of the roads and trails you did in the video sans the Oregon and California trails, I'm left wanting to pack up my 06 KLR and do them all over again. The Continental Divide was my last long ride a few years back. 5 weeks total seat time. I was in NO hurry! Moab is my favorite playground. Although my Super Tenere' might be a little more fun for the slabs and challenging for the dirt. But I do love my KLR. It's not stock by any stretch of the imagination. Great Video.
