Dang yo, that's real insidious when the wires break inside the loom like that! Thankfully it wasn't the switch though, that would have been a little more involved to fix
So that actually isn’t glue. It’s called “Rubber Cement”. It keeps the wires from shorting together. We don’t want the bare soldered joints to touch each other, because they will short out and ruin all the hard work. So we coated them with the rubber cement, to make sure they were protected from each other.
