Mt. Rokko is a mountain massif located in the southeastern part of Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, from west to north of the city of Kobe. It is designated as part of the Seto Inland Sea National Park, and is also one of the New Japan 100 Famous Mountains, Japan's 300 Famous Mountains, and Hyogo's Hometown 50 Mountains. Generally, ``Mt. Rokko'' refers to the entire Rokko mountain range (in a narrow sense, from the central part to the eastern part), which includes mountains of all sizes, and the highest peak is especially called the Rokko (mountain) highest peak. The mountain area belongs to Kobe City, Ashiya City, Nishinomiya City, and Takarazuka City.
The mountain range is narrow in the north-south direction, stretches several tens of kilometers in the east-west direction, and approaches the northern part of the city, and is treated as a natural landmark from both Kobe and Hanshin, as well as within Osaka Prefecture, including Osaka City. .
