Use of the Garmin Zumo XT with the Wünderlich mounting bracket that suits the GPS Preparation of the BMW Motorrad very well. Just mount the cradle to the bracket and connect the power cable and your are ready to go on any adventure... here is how it looks...Links:

Update nov 2023: You may even do it simpler by the Wunderlich adapter. Lokk here for that video:

Did you went back to the cradle? Is the BMW Cradle durable and strong enough? I like the look of it better, I like actually the look of the NAV 6 better but is a very bad GPS

No I didnt go back to the cradle but installed a Garmin Zumo XT.

Did you had the same problem using a GPS app outside bmw app on iPhone ? (ex sygic )

I have used Scenic and GURU App on a lot rides. In general App based navigation is not as stable and precise as a dedicated GPS unit, thats is my experience. But I have never before experienced such a long period of drop out of signal. I dont know if it is the BMW App, my phone or problems with the GPS system that specific day.

How does the Sumo unit integrate with the BMW jog wheel?

There is no integration between the "wonder wheel" and the Zumo. Thats the only drawback.
