I started to feel a bit overwhelmed renting out my bike for the first time but hey who doesn't want to make a little extra cash with items they have. Anyways i seen your videos and despite your review I didn't see any comments of similar experience so i gave it a try anyways. The verdict, scam, not so much. Horrible service for sure! I felt inclined to come back and share my experience and also advise others to find another service also 1. Customer service is non existent. You would imagine people answer the customer service phone lines but as shown in this video they don't answer, EVER. God forbid you have a question while with the renter. Throw that out the window. You have a better chance winning the lotto. Even responses to email take forever and this is their ONLY 2 means of communication. It is the WORST! 2. Payment take 3-7 days to become available after you complete the rental transaction. Now they lure you in with the no fees for the first year so you assume you get all your profits. Well that's where gripe number 3 come in. 3. They additionally charge you to transfer your profits to the payout account (bank). Paypal, venmo, and I'm sure many others allow you to transfer money to your bank with at least a free option that maybe takes a bit longer but nonetheless accomplishes the task. I didn't look close enough to confirm if its a percentage of the amount or a flat fee. It was less than a dollar but it's the principal of it. You charge me fees to use the service that is already plagued with lack of adequate support. I then also take 3-7 business days to even have the funds available to transfer where again, services like paypal, venmo, and others literally have money exchanged showing in the account immediately. They then offer for a fee, quicker transfer times but typically also offer a 1-3 business day payout to bank for free. This company with everything else they do horrible then wants to even take that. All in all my advice is to find a more reliable service to rent your bike thru. Eagleshare/rider is NOT it. Riders-share may be better. I hope to find out soon. If I learned anything from my first time it's knowing what to look for. So questions to ask yourself: 1. Customer service? is it reachable? Phone, email, chat? You may need to ask a question during the rental process like how to handle gas charges or additional gear rentals? I had these questions and got answer days after the rental was over. I even tried to reach someone the day before with nothing. They are always unavailable by phone which when you have questions is better than waiting 2-3 days between emails in these scenarios. 2. How long until funds become available? What way is there to get those funds? How are additional rental items handled like gear or if the rider returns the bike with less gas than you provided it with? 3. what fees do they charge? This company was not clear on this. They I am sure charge to use the service or what's the point. Does the service your paying for meet the expectations like simple customer support? Do they charge you outside of that to then get your money? It all cuts into your profits and not many people are trying to pay top dollar to rent a bike I find so how much do you really make in the end after expenses? Bike maintenance, possibly a bike payment (which I highly advise use paid off vehicles), additional wear and tear, and possible misuse of your property. Which it is worth asking how that's handled if you find a company that unlike this one actually responds to support questions in a timely manner.
You select your rate I made $275 from the rental . For one full 24hr rental . But honestly with the headache and risk I would recommend it’s worth the earnings.
