Day 7 - Echuca Vic. To Lake Crackenback NSW
Day 8 - Lake Crackenback NSW to Sutton NSW
This video captures the seventh and eighth days of our eight day ride to the mouth of the Murray River and return. Our plan is to leave Sutton NSW and follow the coastline as close as we can all the way around to the mouth of the Murray River. It’s about a 2000km ride, so we’ll take four days to get there. Staying over at Mallacoota, Phillip Island, Portland and Victor Harbour.
Our plan for the return trip is to follow the Murray River as close as we can towards its source in the Snowy Mountains where we’ll end up at a location called Tom Groggin. That’s about as close to the source we can get to on our motorbikes. The return trip is about 1700km. Staying over at Mildura, Echuca and Lake Crackenback.
What an amazing trip! Beautiful and diverse countryside, amazing roads and outstanding riding partners!

Nice Video. Thanks for putting it up. I am planning a trip crossing all of the Murray River crossings in Victoria next April. My first will be Curlwaa and my last will be Tom Groggin. Your video has made me even more eager for my trip

Great video and a new subscriber. Well today, the 17th of Sept. 23, I decided to do the trip from Albury where I live to Tumbarumba and return, what great scenery, good roads (except a few potholes but they make life interesting) quite a few bikes touring the area, absolutely no sign of snow anywhere as it was 21C up there at Tumba. I have a 2021 650 V-Strom and it loved it as much as I did. We'll be having a meet up with V-strom owners (part of the Stromtrooper forum) in late October and I want to show some of the other riders this part of the road heading up to Tumut instead of boring Hwy 31,.....I'm 100% convinced I've found the best way there and the most enjoyable ride.. I've only lived down this way for not quite 12 Months so still feeling my way around. I really enjoyed this video trip.....cheers Dave J.

David, agreed, the roads in the alpine area of northern Victoria and southern NSW are spectacular. There's so many to explore as well. Take care.

Really enjoying your videos, I just stumbled across them. Being from Victoria I am always on the look out for some amazing's rides that all our magnificent states have to offer, I very much enjoyed you NSW rides also. Would you mind offering a list off accommodation when you travel. It appears that they are biker friendly and I would be more than happy to support theses businesses when we travel on the roads you are highlighting. Cheers

Hi Marztube, Thanks for the feedback. That's a great suggestion regarding the accommodation. It's great to see that the majority of regional accommodation operators realise the value of catering for the biking community. I might include a list as a credit at the end in future. Take care. Brad

Another tremendous video Brad, I've always enjoyed touring east of Albury, Corryong, the Alpine Way, on to Thredbo and Jindabyne, Canberra and home to Sydney. Your videos tick all the boxes with me viz. clear, high-quality video, good audio, well-chosen background music, informative and entertaining subject. Your eight-day trip has been captured and displayed expertly, thanks so much for the time and effort you put into your video productions.

John, that's very kind of you to say those things. I try my best and always looking to do better. Agreed, the NSW/Vic alpine region has to be my favourite touring destination. In fact, I'm going on a solo ride there for four days in a few weeks time. Keep an eye out for the videos of that. Take care.

What a wonderful ride. I realise it's not me having to do the editing, however I would have loved to see more of where you guys travelled as I haven't been to those regions. Of course that would have meant more filming and sometimes that takes the enjoyment out of the ride .Next summer I must make an attempt to get there.

Jeff, You raise a good point. I had to make sure the ride fitted in to eight days to allow the others to take one week's leave. That meant we had to do long days on the bike with early starts and not enough time factored in to get more footage of the surrounds and the towns we stayed at. If I was to do it again, I would allocate at least 10 or more days to do it. That way I would have the time to also do some drone footage. It's a stunning landscape....from start to finish. Well worth taking the time!
