We rented a nice Airbnb. I just had my tank bag and it was enough. I like to pack light.

Yes. Just take it easy especially the stretch between Port Alberni and Tofino. There are some technical Twisties there. It could be a long ride for you though if you're planning to do it in a day from Vancouver. Might want to break it up
