I went looking for updates, but the only one I can find is specific for connection to the chartplotters with NEMA network. While I do have the right chartplotter, I don't have it rigged with a network connection yet. I could not find any updates that would address my issue for non-networked. It may be that if I bought the parts and connected the network that update would help, but the published documentation didn't indicate it would.
Yes, these trolling motors have gotten very sophisticated. For this one, I have both a wireless foot pedal and a pendant / keypad that hangs around my neck. I can control the motor from anywhere on the boat with a button press. With the GPS kit, I can lock it on a heading and it will hold a straight course and steady speed.
Hi i just installed a new motherboard. Ive got a question when its stalled back in lock position is your power indicator flashing slowly?? Stalled position mine does it. But it works fine when deployed in the water etcc
Yes, mine has a slowly pulsating power light when stowed. When deployed, the power, battery and GPS lights are all steady. I hadn't noticed the flashing light on my old power board, but it may have still been. I did find that the motor draws power when plugged in and stowed. That parasitic was drawing on my batteries and I need to be sure to unplug it when stowed for storage.
@@bitsofwisdom460 thankyou it must be a new update on the motherboard. Thankyou for replying back. Does it draw alot power during your fishing trip when it's in standby?? After I finish my fishing I disconnect it and take it off
It is a longer term drain. I was having trouble with my battery monitor because the parasitic load was not being measured by the monitor. See this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sYEDF24FvDY.html
