You will find generators are excepted in aires as solar don't really work once its snowed, I have a built in one now ,but I used to carry a Honda which I lent to someone in that aire in 2009 it hasn't changed at all . @@Winterised

Yeah - has changed a bit now - it's shut! Still don't think it's cool to run them at night in residential areas - there were kids in the van next to us and we were at one end straight opposite the farmer - and it was New Year... just trying to be respectful :)

Dawn Allard yup! Arrived before, left just after. They weren't as dodgy as they looked really and we have amazing snow tyres which even got us up a hill in reverse! The snow chains were the result of bad planning on our part and a bit of idiocy on the part of other drivers....😉 The motorhome's coping brilliantly now we've made a few adjustments and sorted our power admin out!
