Great piece of kit. FYI - Fiamma do bike covers - the 2 bike cover S has its own bungee cords sown in and the rear face has a transparent cover pocket that you just slide your warning square into - no extra cords or fittings needed, pops over the bikes pull the cord at the back together and hook together pull down at the front pull the cords together hook em together slot in the warning square jobs a good un. £27.00 from most online accessory shops.👍

Great bit of kit with the tilt as Its a struggle getting the waterproof cover on mine with the height.

Great than you can still access your spare wheel. Perhaps you could demonstrate how to get it out and back in again without unloading the bikes and rack?

Hi Steve, You forgot to mention the ability to lock the bike carrier onto the towbar. This is essential otherwise the thief can just release the carrier from the towbar and steal the bikes and carrier in a oner. Don

A lot of people would need to budget for a tow bar and electrics fitting. That would certainly raise the cost versus a standard fiamma.

Hi Steve great vlog. Does the carrier come with the lighting rig attached or did you fit that separately as I assume your rear van lights are slightly obscured? Also is it 7 pin electrics? Thanks.

Yes, the carrier comes with that rear lights and a 7 pin connector. The guys I bought it from threw in the 13 pin to 7 pin adapter. Works a treat :)

HELLO Steve, hope you both are well, just found your review video on your THULE tow hitch fitted two bike rack. we also fellow fiat comanche , 2011 campers and thinking off going down your route E-bikes and how to transport them with either trailer or a attached rack. you still got yours and still works fine, no problems with security issues. may decide to go the same way as you have and purchase the THULE 2 BIKE RACK. are you still in lockdown or abroad in spain. I hear uk campsites are allowing online bookings process to start up again for the month off july.

Hi, yes we are all well thanks. The Thule bike rack is very good. The tow ball locks on, the bike stays have locks on and for added security I’ve put our Kryptonite lock chains around the bikes and the rack frame. I bought the version one and have to take the bikes off when the van gown is for an MOT. Something to do with the rack lights not replicating the fog and reverse lights. I think the version two has updated lights. We are in Sweden and got here on a bought 16th March crossing the borders just befor the rest of Europe went into lockdown. Sweden have take a more relaxed approach and decided to treat the population like adults. Currently deaths per million population is much lower than the UK. We are in Sweden to help out family with childcare looking after our grandchildren 👍😀😎

@@TheHappyTravellers ok STEVE thanks for that. just looking at some off your other videos , do you still do full timing in the comanche, we had ours since 2014 and also did spain 2 year ago , loved it. we retired now moved to lincolnshire so soon hope to start travelling again. very sorry to hear your security issue in spain getting broken into. would love to chat about how we can be safer and what you suggest or advice about extra security as thinking off going back to spain, portugal again. are we able to swap email address.dont want too give too much info on here.

Sure thing. Email me at steve@thehappytravellers.tv Main thing is to secure the cab door and the hab door with additional locks. The HEOSafe dead locks for the cab doors are excellent and easy to fit.
