If u watch thru some of this year’s video you’ll see I’m basically at max rpm for about 6 miles straight. Outside of a bad (lean) tune, I don’t believe anyones blown one up yet. My green bike has minimum 6-7000 miles. I put a new piston in it this past spring cause I figured it’d appreciate it. The piston I took out was virtually unharmed. 10 outta 10!!!
Nice machine, crazy rider lol. Wow I would of crapped all over the road. Any cars behind me would be pissed cause they would have shit all over thier car.
It’s both. Right side is tach, left is temp. The temp gauge is a plug temp sensor. It’s got a 17mm brass ring sensor that takes place of the crush washer on the plug. Some don’t remove the crush washer and run both, but I feel like the heads are made with plug depth I’m mind. The more space I take up on the threads, the shallower the plug tip sits in the combustion chamber. The plug temp (dome temp) gives u a specific spot to monitor temps in a critical spot. I could have opted for an exhaust temp ring that clamps right beside ur exhaust flange. Temps are much higher I’d imagine, but ideally it gives you a base line and will show u fluctuations depending on how ur riding. It’s not uncommon for me to see 360-365 degrees on my gauge while putting it under serious load. Some claim their piaggio never breaks 290-300, but I’m skeptical and have never seen proof. It’s common for many to equate lower temps with being a better tuner I think. So the lower number they type out, the better tuner they are? Lol. I point the camera at both gauges from time to time so people can see exactly where it’s running at
@@jamiebouchard9862 I don't have a piezo or anything legit like you but my engine temps are usually above 300 around 320. At what temperature do I need to start being concerned? When it hits 360 eventually at sustained WOT sometimes I hear pre detonation almost sounds like wrist pin clip broke loose but it's not that. If I try to go richer it doesn't go away and I'm starting to think it's my bearings 🤔 motors 2 years old so been procrastinating to change it out with the new motor lol. I love your channel bro you're super legit.
@@JamesPiccone it’s ignition, it’s got no curve to retard at higher rpm. Supercharged or parmakit cdi will fix it I’m thinking. If it’s pre detonation it should be eating away at the head and around the rim of ur piston.
Hey Jamie, Mark Kasper here, do you mind if I ask what clutch you're using? I've about had it with my Darcy clutches. So fucken frustrated with them. I want something different on all my bikes. Dig your bike! Fk'n BadAss 💪🏼👍🏼🏁
All my Piaggio engines have Ryan’s Stage4 clutches. My mxs has a full stage3 clutch kit and there’s no getting it to slip. The mxs is a 46mm stroke and has a crap load of low end torque. The max black spring ryan sells for $30 outdoes and multi spring clutches that Darcy offers. Darcy’s a joke! Sorry if he’s ur friend, I’m pretty outspoken on those who do others wrong
@@jamiebouchard9862 I just keep running into issues with Darcy's clutch, plus it's hard af to pull the clutch lever in and hard on cables. My wife can't even ride it with those 800lb springs on it, it's overkill I think.
@@m.kasper7646 get a motorcycle style lever, it’ll make pulling the clutch a breeze. I had a Darcy style clutch once and went thru 2-3 bucking bars in 3 weeks. Never again!!!
@@jamiebouchard9862 I'll have to show you pictures of my set up, on messenger, I have a good strong lever and I even have a custom made bearing that the cable rides on as it turns into the actuator arm, so it has easy access but the clutch sucks! Should I get a stage 3 from Ryan for my falcon 911 Smolik Performance head engine?
Makes sense bro. I'm sure people know who's coming or going if they can hear, they should know.i can't see there being more than a very few around your spot lol that sounds like that anyway
