The V2 has my interest completely peaked!! I'm still waiting to find a video that someone does fully modify one that's so extreme that it sets the standard to the common question asked....... "but why?"
TBH your flow issue with the bofeng would likely be made less severe if your fuel line didn't twist and sit parallel with the ground. (don't get me wrong, I appreciate that your frame style and tank outlet are to blame in this case, not you). IMO the Bofeng was designed with top mounted conversion kit tanks in mind, as I noticed that setting a minimal length line with as much vertical drop as possible (especially near the carb intake for obvious reasons!) alleviated all flow issues and resulted in surprisingly great performance across the entire power band. (especially considering that I'm just running a not yet broken in China Doll unit). I appreciate that because you're running an integrated tank frame, the practicality of trying to achieve a vertical drop fuel line is...well, not that possible, at a glance. You seem to have the rare but enviable issue of having a good enough frame setup that the carb just isn't suited to it. Using a quad carb was a damn smart move, I might have to look into them myself, because I'll admit those bofeng jets are..kinda hilariously oversized, as you say, haha.
If you can't weld or don't have a welder. You can still make a nice all aluminum carb. intake, using propane/Mapp gas torch, clean stainless steel wire prep brush & those alumni-weld rods. That can weld small aluminum pieces together. Harbor ⚓ Freight sells em or you can order em online. If you can't get the hang of welding with them to make an air tight seal. You only have to weld it good enough to bond together. Then use JB weld to fill in the gaps & make it air tight.
@@keeganhache6667 Good Deal & good video. Some mineralli videos would be nice. At first I wanted to do a mineralli but now want a 4 stroke instead. I noticed many places stopped selling the 79cc 4 stroke kits. I did see a 100cc 4 stroke kit for $290 that looked decent (I think?) only 3.5hp but with upgrades can easily get 6 -9-12 hp. Or a 125cc pit bike engine with semi auto gearbox for similar price. My next build I wanna do a diy Phatmoto style bike with stronger steel frame. That's reliable, can climb hills & cruise along safely at 40mph for miles without overheating.
Best jeting is you have to look at the spark plug needs to be on a light brownish color for better performance. The samler the carb the better for low and meed power.
Great video man! Any exhaust you would recommend that flows good and quiet so I can drive around the neighborhood? I know it is kind of impossible to have a high flowing exhaust and at the same time quiet, maybe the regular expansion chamber with the silencer or muffler at the end is what I am thinking. Let me know of one if you can lol!
Yeah the mz65 clone with a 22mm moped silencer. Then use 1 inch inner diameter heater hose and 2 clamps to keep it all together. I just got the cr80 that’s gonna be super loud because it’s from a dirt bike
Glad you like the vids. My Minarelli had to be honed out due to damage from a cheap piston. Going to see if I can hone it out enough to support a 47.6mm stage 6 Nikosil piston. Let's keep in touch and maybe make an action vid before it gets to cold. @@keeganhache6667
IV tried running a filter and it kills the power so bad . I'll take the chance of scratching the cylinder and stuff there cheap to replace and for me it's worth the extra power but I'm normally on clean pavement. But sometimes on dirt roads but I also put a half of a license plate on the seat tube to block the stuff getting kicked up from the tire works great in the rain doesn't suck up water and mix with the oil in the crankcase now
Like I said some people can get away with no running it and on something you don’t really care about sure it’s okay but on a engine with so much time into not worth getting dirt inside. Fenders to help to keep sole debris out
is a 62 jet on a 80cc with hp carb and a expansion pipe… too lean? if I got to a 65-70 is chugs on the top of throttle does that mean it’s running to rich or 4 stroking ?
Big no it’s not well matched to that engine a g2 reed with a vm18 or a pz20 would do much better better yet park that with a mz65 pipe or a mx pipe and some light port work, 36tooth sprocket boom! Fast bike sometimes it’s simple not to mention tuning goes a long way
I just asked questions in a group past two days on all this..but nobody told me why I'm getting so much fuel blowing back into the air cleaner . I'm running a HP with a 65 jet. And I think I have a air leak on manifold. I'm redoing the surfaces so they mate better.
You need to drill the whole 1 mm the case valum doesn’t have that much suction It will rev extremely fast but it will idle on certain bills I built 4 yd100 70 cc Zuma and a Nine port euro cylinder that cylinder got some fucking peep I do not recommend Jack shaft it lifts up every gear
@@keeganhache6667well months later and I did the total opposite I bought a Athena Minarelli and it wasn’t cheap, so with that being said can you tell me what cdi and carb to use?
@@keeganhache6667 no I'm not talking about seizing unless that's what it's called but it doesn't lock up it just dies for a second and starts back up at a lower rpm.
