Would you say that a screen with 0,8 gain is noticable brigter then a 0,6 gain? Got a Formovie Theater with a Nothink Projector NB Black Serie 100" ALR screen. For me the Image of my setup is not bright enough 😕
Hey Next Great video, I'm building a house and have built a huge TV room, I want a 150 inch screen ! what do you suggest ? short fall projectors look the way to go... if money wasn't an object what would you go for ??
Yes it is a nice cabinet, however some body like with a big and long clipsch center surround speaker that cabinet is made for me, I like so something missing.
Thanks Ellora! That is a custom stands from IKEA and it was a cheapest and only option that I could find at the moment, as my ceiling is a bit lower there in basement. These items you can mix on their website and make them as you pleased. They called ''Nordli'' here in Sweden. Here is the link: www.ikea.com/se/sv/planner/nordli-planner/#custom
Hey Nexi, Thanks for the awesome videos! You’ve inspired me to get a screen and I’m hunting for the right one. Saw your videos of the XYScreen frame (100”), Vividstorm floor rising (120”), and this JZ screen with cabinet. Now, I am looking for a floor rising ALR screen for my UST projector (Xiaomi, non-4K) and JZ seems affordable (without cabinet, shipping to the UAE), but I could not find the exact screen on their store (without the cabinet) - I saw one with white fabric, but yours is gray isn’t it? Can you advise mate? Thanks a lot!
Thanks mate! Sorry for late answer I'm very busy. Well the most Important is that the screen you purchase is the screen for the UST laser projector with horisontal micro lines pattern that blocks the light from upper direction and reflect the light from down below( projector) straight to you(viewe). Don't buy regular white screens or regular gray screen with mash structure etc. This special fabric is called many names like ALR/UST/CLR and it is switching color from light gray to the black depending of from which angle you looking on it. Remember: Screen needs to be made specifically for UST laser projector and it has to have horisontal micro lines pattern surface.
Looks great, the only downside ist that nobody with decent Loudspeakers would place them there, Like you are. Stereo Triangel or even a nice angle isnt possible with the cabinet, or the Position of the Center speaker. The Screen, the automatic and the clean Look is nice, , but anything Else... For 5k iam going to a woodworker and He build me an unique cabinet incl. an automatic.
I would have liked to see mounting options for on wall and in wall speakers, built in to the cabinet, also with the option to angle them upwards towards the ear of the audience, as that would pretty much be required for the center speaker, and depending on available space to the sides of the screen, the L/R speakers as well. They could have an optional lift system for shelfs hidden behind the speakers, for blu-ray player and such, so that they could come up of the cabinet for inserting of the disc (with IR extender built in to the cabinet for remote control). But since it really would not be possible to put an AVR inside, that would probably not be necessary for most, as they would still have to have some equipment to the side. (several of AVRs support multiple measurings so it would be possible to have one for the center speaker when the projector shelf isn't extended, and one for when it is, affecting both the distance of the center speaker and to some extent the sound of the L/R speakers if they are mounted on/in the cabinet). On the other hand it is hard to see the market for this product, as an All-in-One solution. I would have probably separated the cabinet from the screen and made that a separate purchase, and split the cabinet up to several of segments, for easier transport. And the buyer could then get the screen of choice, but with a cabinet with support structure for the weight of the screen and IR extender, and room for cabling.
Hey, not sure if anyone will be able to help answer but it looks like the power cable is different from what my projector uses. Is there any way to get them swapped out? I'm using the Fengmi T1 and want to ensure compatibility before purchasing this cabinet
Hi, before you purchase this cabinet send the message to the seller and tell the what type of projector you are using and they will customize the cabinet to fit your projector including power cable and etc. You can also make changes and customize the cabinet look and etc.
Hey Nexi, great work! I purchased this screen about 6-9 months ago based on your awesome review. All installed easily and screen is amazing with my Xiaomi Cinema 2 UST projector (recommend you review this Dolby Vision Projector). I have a question, my screen is going wavy, possibly due to the ALR material settling over time and possibly stretching a little due to Australian Summer weather (hot)...is yours still perfectly flat and any recommendations to flatten it? Was thinking of just taking apart and re-positioning and tenstioning again to see if the waves disappear.
Thanks man! Alright, first question, do you have drop down screen ALR motorized or floor rising ALR motorized screen? I made a video for both versions. My screen are in basement where is cool and dry and I can think that higher temperature and humidity can have some impact on the ALR fabric. If you have floor rising screen you can give a try and tight up those two screws on the metal housing arms joints(on the back of the screen). Arms opens and closes the screen in the housing and as they are spring loaded they also stretch the fabric. If you have drop down version of the screen maybe you can add some more weights on the bottom and the farbic will stretch better? Just sharing my quick morning thoughts :)
@@NexiTech Sorry Nexi, I purchased the Fengmi ALR screen from your other video last year (apologies, meant to reply to that one but I was watching this motorised one and accidentally replied here!). I noticed today it is cooler and the screen has tightened up. Think I will remove the frame and try re-tensioning when it's warmer as that should keep it all super tight, think that might fix my issue. Keep up with the great videos!
@@enricot2196 Aha I got you, no problem my friend! If you have fixed frame ALR screen you can remove the metal frame edges and re- tension the screen fabric and you can also add some extra springs on the few places where you need it. double spring it :) I believe that you do have some spare springs left from the box. That will do the job. Take care mate!
The hot environment in Australia may cause the expansion of ALR fabric, so you don't have to worry. In a cool environment, the fabric will have some shrinkage offline. If you are lifting, you can adjust the screws of the following brackets to shrink the lines on both sides of the screen. It will have some effect.

AND $1,800 delivery lol ... look at the fine print ... i was interested right up until the shipping fee lol BUT outstanding cab ... i was looking at the Vividstorm Floor rising screen and its nearly $3k so the extra $2k for the extra capabilities of autoaligning and storage in a nice cabinet is worthwhile ... but $1,800 shipping???
This is prototype unit and it's not perfect. Company that I got this cabinet from have use this cabinet to promote, show case it all across country so it's basically second hand unit-prototype and like I said it's not complete and final product. I got it for good price and after that I sell my 120 inch ALR drop down projector screen and my old cabinet and add some amount in between I hope that I will cover most of expenses for this cabinet.
My friend, you have links in video description. Just scroll it down under this video and you will see more text and the links you need. Have a great day.
@@NexiTech Thank you, found it.. I am looking to buy the Samsung Premiere LSP9. I see you have had the AWOL for test.. Mure Lumen, cheaper. Which one would you recommend? Geir
True! Most expensive part in the cabinet is the integrated motorised 120 inch ALR UST projector screen. Those special projector screens are super expensive.
Sir can you help me im from ph I bought a scooter brande new no brand for 12,500 pesos but in just 1 month it has low power i want to get even half of the price of the money i paid. But no one buys it😫
hello I would like to buy a short laser projector I was wondering which sheet should I choose between a 100 or 120 inch one? taking into account that the distance between the sofa and the screen is 3.20 meters. thank you
nice...but i wouldn't buy this on amazone,i work together with cinedream belgium. then i would buy klipsch woofer and speakers with ceiling atmos speakers,a desent carpet for the sound and a star ceiling with a samsung ust the premiere 9t around 20.000euro
It's for screen and cabinet. I think the price will go down for a sure as this just start to come to the market. Also keep in mind that only 120 inch ALR UST projector screen cost around 2000$ thanks to this new ''world situation'' and insanely high shipping cost.
