Anyways, what I said was - I bought this phone for my mom who uses this only for Alarm but does not want an sim inserted phone near by her while sleeping at night.. For just Alarm usage, the battery lasts for 7+ days.. And Technically, this phone is a basic phone with no Whatsapp kind of apps and no Camera, so obviously, with normal usage, there wont be lots of battery consumption.. So approx, 2.5 to 3days with normal usage and 1 to 1.5 days with heavy calls..
Bro, not sure what might be the issue.. But you might try these - 1. If you inserted the sim in slot 1, try to remove it put it in slot 2. 2. Try to reinsert the sim again.. Because first time, you might not have inserted properly. 3. Do turn off and on, see if it works, if not try contacting the network operator. 4. If you trying to use Jio in this, then remove it and try with other network like Airtel. With this you might also come to know that the Sim is damaged or not, so that you can replace the sim with new one and then try (Same network).. Because the some phone might also detect damaged/cracked sim but same sim might be detected in other phones.. 5. If still nothing works, then the phone might be faulty. Replace the phone as there is warranty..
