Went with this phone after trying OnePlus 9 and the pixel 6 and cheaper too. coming from a Huawei p30 pro and it's extinction from the US market and having to ditch my former carrier to another carrier that cost less and the phone not being compatible, my search has been made easy with this phone, I'm not 100 % happy but I'm not spending an arm and a leg for a phone that I'm going to hate, currently the market looks bleak, we'll see what comes out in the next few years and hopefully this Motorola phone is still going strong.
And for me, no heating up issues... just don't keep it on the charger all the time, it takes about 15 minutes to become fully charged. Let it go all the way to 0 before charging for the first time and charge till about 80% for the first charge and your battery will last longer.
It's a great phone I've been using it since 2021 Christmas and The buttons hold up good and the screen feels really nice and slick screen doesn't crack easy and Is really fast
Get it... I think it's fabulous. Make sure u buy a 3.0 brick cuz it doesn't come w one. Also, it comes with android 11 but bumps u all the way to 13... so many features and the camera is amazing and so much fun.
Thanks for the awesome video I'm about to cool the trigger on this one after having my Kyocera duraforce pro for a number of years. Have had Motorola in the past and was okay with them maybe give this one a try. What say y'all?
Did you get it? I’m getting ready to exit the Apple ecosystem and get a Motorola. I need better battery life and I don’t do enough on my phone to justify spending a fortune for extra features and processing power that I’ll never use.
MN Prepper, thank you for replying. I'm glad the phone is working out well for you. I still haven't figured out which Motorola phone I want to buy. It's been a tough decision.
Great video , doing research for my wife, she loves my moto g stylus 2021, she can't keep her hands off mine, yep , I can get the hint !!! Have a great day folks. & God bless...
Hey dude thx for review! How is battery Life, for how man hours? And can you tel me which is the best Android phone for you included Motorola. I need with a good stereosound and battaries. I want to jump from iOS to Android. Thank you an advince))
My top ones so far are my galaxy S21 +, OnePlus 9 and then pixel 6 / 6 pro are coming soon which should be really good. If you want the best for photography go Google Pixel, then Samsung, then OnePlus.
Getting this tomorrow... I ordered the 3.0 charging brick just in case there's an issue... I hope I get 5g, and after putting My sim in, it actually works with Metro by T mobile, like it advertised on Amazon... crossed fingers...
I've had it a week and I Love it. It didn't come w the brick so it's a good thing I purchased 3.0 brick. It came w android 11 but bumped all the way to 13. The features are so much fun. It is so fast and camera is unbelievable. Only cons are no headphones jack but getting pods is all u need plus u can simply buy a cheap connector and there is no sd card slot but the c to c cable it comes w, all u gotta do is transfer files if u run out, onto another device but it comes w 256gb. I say buy it. It also comes with gorilla glass 3 which is amazing. I'm in love with this Moto phone rocking android 13...
@@CandidlyCheri78 I ended out splurging for the edge 30 Fusion. I ordered it yesterday and it should arrive in the mail tomorrow. I love Motorola! So excited to test it out. I wanted to get something for my 6 month trip over in the Philippines, loved my 2021 Stylus. I lost my Stylus in the Philippines over this past winter but the battery wasn't lastinh very long anymore and was ready to be replaced after extreme heavy use. I think it had a virus because web advertising kept popping up randomly. I drive OTR truck so I will have time to test the new phone out before I leave USA in a month 😁👍😎
I think with this phone it will get android 13 and stay on that for the rest of it's life. Not sure how long for security updates. Apps will still be updated on Google play but eventually some won't be compatible with this phone because it will be older software.
@@FishBeeProductionsdid it update to Android 13? Thinking of getting this or the Motorola edge 30 fusion in magenta with 12gb/256gb for $399.99. Had a Motorola Style 2021 and loved it although I lost it in the Philippines last winter when I rode in a trike after bar hopping. Also thinking about the Motorola Stylus 5g 2021 for about $160.00 new. I'm seeing this phone in your review for $250.00 USD. Any feedback on which one to get. I like that this phone has the 100+ mp camera the Fusion only has 50mp but it can record video at 8k and slow motion 960 frames per second sounds insane. Leaning towards the fusion 😊 please give me advice
@@FishBeeProductions Got it! The only place I am able to buy it from seems the official Motorola canada website. Any thoughts on when the Motorola Edge 2022 version will come to the market?
How about video editing ?.. And yeah I was wondering about the software upgrades as well for 2023 and 24. Will it get it android 13 and 14 ?? Anyone know..
the edge 5g UW (aka verizon version of the 2021 edge) doesnt come with a charger. not every 30w charge is built the same, much as not every 5000mAh battery is built the same. and motorola wont tell me the specs on my battery or on the charger that comes with the non verizon specific models. they just keep saying 30w and hang up on me.. motorola doesnt even sell a 30w charger anymore lol if anyones got specs on the charger or battery, id very much appreciate them.
Purchase a 3.0 brick and you'll get turbo charging. I don't go over 60 ghz because over that, the battery goes down too fast. That's the best advice I can give but the phone will impress you I think.
Lost me at "is it as good as a pixel 5a". That camera is terrible. I just sent my 5a back, still the same 7 year old hardware with software cheating which makes live video terrible and horrendous low light. Way too long to process a photo, front camera is useless for video calling in anything but daylight.
@@BrewmasterN8 no he's right I heard this in a different review, to be honest 256 gb should be fucking plenty, if you use more than that spend some time off your phone.
@@MelousiPousi no doubt that is good amount of storage, but the model I was looking at was only 128 or something like that. Also I like sd cards to swap phones easier. Do u have this phone?
Thanks for the reply, I just cancelled my order at BB. I don't care if it comes with a TB of internal. I like having control of my storage. e.g. when apps ask if they can access SD card.
@@BrewmasterN8 hey sorry I don't get notifications from my RU-vid app, I'm currently looking into upgrading my current phone as of right now and the Motorola edge is what I'm interested in. When I get it I'll definitely come back and reply to how I personally like it. Have a great day 🤙🏼
