The sound of the 3.0 pulling away sounded sooooo lazy. Might as well have been a diesel. I just came out of the 2008 9-3 Sportcombi reviews and was surprised how pleasant it revved away down the quarter. I will say, though, watching this 9-5 flinging through the slalom... I don't see the car bouncing on the bump stops harshly, which is a relief. I recall seeing the IS300 slalom and how violent it seemed to be as it maxed out bouncing on the stops (as many cars I've noticed), but this one stood out as not bouncing like that.
Wasn't the "quirky" that Killed Saab. But the perennial "Saab Stories" and their Constantly expanding prices. These were EXPENSIVE cars. PS; Saab Aero has Eff All to do with any saab car after1970. SCANIA is the actual maker /pedigree. Note that the Drag coeff is .32 to .36... dependant on info source. Use a valid reference .. next time Gee ...it's as fast as a current Civic.
@@3piridacius806 So what? It should be more powerful. It should produce at least 255 hp. But then if it had 255 hp, that would put it dangerously close to the Cadillac Seville, which had 275 hp and GM would never allow a Saab to be -better- more powerful than a Cadillac.
