Still have an sv6(2006) and there isn't a single problem, I bought it in 2007 and have over 300k miles on it Sure there are a few small dings due to irresponsible people at parking lots and the interior needs a vacuum but it's a reliable van if you ask me
Rikka Takanashi Why does everyone always talk bad about these vans? Not only they looked nice (and some people say they don’t), they say it’s junk when people like you get 300k miles on it!
Well, even Dodge stopped building the Grand Caravan. Minivans aren't being purchased anymore. It's all about crossovers, which if you think about it, Pontiac already had one with the Aztek.
Semaj Oirotsip Minivans were gone in 2009 They then all started adapting technology like in cars. Such as counsol shifters, slopped hoods, windows in the rear. All the real minivans were made from 1984-2009
@@steveespinola7652 The Aztek sales didn't doom Pontiac sales, and the GTO was never meant to be made for more than 3 years or 30,000 units, according to Bob Lutz.
Motor Week used to have more exciting intro. I still remember that catchy song in my head. Then the video ending, with the, trans am muffler sound, and the other one is tires burnout sound. Classic Motor Week. Nostalgia.
My parents have had an 07 buick terraza for a few years and I think it's at about 90k miles, I believe only thing that went bad since they got it was an actuator for the rear hatch. I just recently purchased an 08 uplander cargo van with 126k miles. It has some stuff wrong with it, one I believe is a pressure control solenoid in the transmission. After a lot 50 miles of driving, it starts shifting hard. Shut it off fo 3-5 mins and it's fine for another 30-40 miles. Other stuff is from wear and tear like wheel alignment and stuff.
If these were still being made I would be in this right now. Instead we had to rent a GMC Accadia. Nothing is as cool as a minivan! They had to switch to making crossovers : (
Cj Iekel Buick Terraza is really nice looking. You can tell when you see a Terraza. A Mercury Monterey, you got to say, wait that’s not a Freestar. The front grille is exactly the same but has a different design on Monterey. At least terraza had a different front grille.
Cj Iekel Alright. I personally liked the first gen Windstars and the Freestars better than the second gen windstars. Didn’t those have a rear axel recall?
Bought an 06 uplander 1 month ago with 50000 miles on it and had nothing but problems. Abs first, not starting second, service vehicle soon light, and vibration while accelerating! Biggest piece of crap I've ever had. Luckily the dealer gave me what I paid for it on trade for all the trouble. Will never mess with one of these vans ever again!!!!
Mine was a 2005 with 358,000 miles on it. Someone vandalized it while I was in the hospital.. now I have found another one that's a 2006 will 111,000 miles on it. I know how to take care of it so it will last a long time. If it wasn't for the vandalism my other sv6 would be getting close to 400k now. All it needed was some shocks
The most forgettable, half hearted attempt at a minivan there ever was. The Toyota Sienna and Honda Odyssey blew this thing and it’s 3 cousins (Relay, Uplander, Terraza) out of the water. That being said, I have one I got for $250, and it’s a solid vehicle for hauling people and junk!
Our Montana SV6 was a lemon, at least I thought it was a lemon until I've confirmed most owners had problems with this piece of Grade A General Motors trash.
