Well that's completely useless I woukd say. ZERO weatherproofing. It's shown fitted to an external door with grooves but any rain will just run straight into the doors exposed wooden core and rot it over time. Also a single pane of glass so no consideration for cold bridging at all. These things are only suitable for internal use. NEVER externally

Something's going on there. The car is sitting on a tile floor and there appears to be a wall or something beyond the passenger side door. Maybe this door is not in direct rainfall and maybe it is not a cold weather area. However, your point is spot on, ZERO weatherproofing. Maybe in this application, it isn't really required.
