Another beautiful mount! You are a very talented taxidermist. I really enjoy watching your shorts and videos. I wish I would’ve been introduced to taxidermy in my younger years, I think it could’ve been an enjoyable career path for myself.
Amazing as always!! Long time fan!! I do have a question though 👀 what do you do with the excess hide you cut off at the end? Do you throw it away or do you save it for something else?
I noticed the horn was pointed instead of flat at 53 seconds. Is this the same model or are the horns flattened at the ends for some reason for aesthetics/safety?
My guess , just because of the thickness of the coat and also being completely deprived of air flow , that it probably takes 24 hours or more to fully cure
Yes, she gets the hide from either hunters (I am a hunter looking to get into taxidermy because it can be expensive, I have my first ever whitetail buck taxidermied) road kill, or people who found the animal dead from natural causes, Since this mufflon ram ain't a native species of the USA it was most likely killed by a hunter
As the others said, for a natural and realistic look. But also, sometimes the form doesn’t fit perfectly, so you or customize replace parts for the hide to fit better
I went to a taxidermy school. Similar to a trade school! No college for me 😂 but it probably wouldn’t hurt to be an art major if you are the kind of person inclined to go to college
Instead of using real skin,is it possible to get realistic animal skin to use for animals cuz I wanna do tacidermy but don’t wanna handle dead animal skin
It shouldn't. This animal was killed so that it could feed people, and now the parts of it that can't be eaten are being used to let the animal live on after it's death. Something like this could easily last hundreds of years under proper care, so the rams life is immortalized
Woah, animals get killed? No shit, Anyway, she gets given the skin by customers and she makes a taxidermy for them to have in their home for decoration or study purposes.
There is this missing model of Balenciaga named Chris G or Isiah Bass and he was suing them for accusing them of copying his style. In paris, at a bale store this lady rexorded him.
