Moulton TSR 30 - Suspension Fix and Upgrades 

I have used the space frame in so many weird ways over the years I have owned a TSR. The stock object it's my u lock on the left side with voile straps. But other uses had been, the obvious clothing carrier, strapped tent, second passenger seat, camping chair as far as I remember.

Interesting, thanks, good to see it hasn't been sold (yet). Can't remember adjusting mine but it was a long time ago. You didn't explain that the front suspension is supplied via a spring concealed in the head tube. This can be standard or heavy duty and can be adjusted to suit the ride height relative to the weight being carried, which isn turn also has some effect on the bounce. The cross bar is of course designed to carry your designer coffee cup ☕, telling everyone you're a trendy consumer 🤣.

One thing to take care when tightening the damping bolts is to do so the same amount on the left as on the right. It’s tricky since so little tightness is needed. A typical torque wrench range starts far too high. You may have to rig up a screw bit in a ratchet and let the weight of the handle do the work.

I've always thought "If there's one person who can improve on the near perfect design of the Moulton it's Julian". I'm already looking forward to where this goes next. Cheers 👍🏼

In Cornwall we call the rain jacket mod a lash up 😜 That chainset is a thing of beauty isn't it, as is the rest of the bike it must be said.

I would wonder if the friction on the tight bolts would loosen up over time, could you add a fork or do you have to get the fork from Moulton specific type only made by them or can you have a fork made for the bike. I remember using straps for my rain jacket in the 60s and having it work its way out of the straps and into the chain and wheels…. Just when you think something your safe you are experiencing a scary stop in traffic. So be careful and perhaps attach to a water bottle holder in a container. Yet it looks like the rain jacket would never fall out of the straps.

In Brisbane we would call it a hack 😃😃😃
