You have a beautiful pond. Nothing wrong with your setup but If you’re ready to step it up check out Texas hunter fish feeders. I have one and it’ll send it 40 feet out and no clogs after rain. Also if you want your bluegill to fill out like footballs. Look into Aquamax -500 and Aquamax mvp. Another good feed is optimal fish feeds they will ship to your door. These are premium gamefish foods and not a grain based feed.
I have been using a stuff I have found local. Currently using a fish food from Kent because it was all I was able to find. Do you like the Aquamax or the Optimal Fish Feeds better? Either way I have to order it. I want to try a Texas Hunter, I have looked at them, I just have a hard time dipping my toe into that price range. I think a good portion of the feeding I do goes toward some fat catfish, not sure if there is a way around that. Thanks for watching and providing additional thoughts, very much appreciated.
@@CountryHobbyist I hear you on the price. I enjoy hand feeding personally but when I’m out of town for a week at a time I like to know my fish are still eating and growing. I am not familiar with Kent but any grain based feed is fine for catfish. Your more predatory type of fish benefit from a higher protein fish meal based feed. Carbs are hard to digest for some fish but catfish do it pretty well. Try some hybrid striped bass if you can find them. They hammer pellets and are fun to catch. You could make a good stocking and grow out update. I personally use Aquamax because the price per pound is slightly less then optimal. I get it ordered in from Tractor supply. I’m paying 55.00/50lb but I figure it’s worth it to me to maximize growth and I love nice big bluegill. They use fish oil in it too and the fish go nuts for it once they get a taste. I think it is a relative statement. Comparing a $150 Moultrie feeder to a $1000 Texas Hunter feeder, yeah its not going to compare. But comparing it against another
@@CountryHobbyist No, the Texas It’s not good. Swinney is the best fish feeder. There is Moultrie does not The real far but I like to Moultrie deer feeders, where they spread all around I have several of them
