Hey friends, this week we are exploring the Mount Gambier, the small city in the Limestone Coast region of South Australia. The landscape here is pocked with sinkholes and crater lakes, and there's a vast underground cave system. We even meet a couple of cave divers and chat to them about squeezing through those small watery passages.
You can check out cave divers Josh and Chloe in action here: • The Englebrechts East ...

I’ve just discovered your channel and I’m really enjoying the videos, thank you. Have caught up with the last three months worth so far but will probably go back to when you started and watch them all at some point 😀 I would love to visit Australia again (from the UK) but in the meantime I can see the sights through your eyes - cheers, Nicky 😀

@@nigelandsueadventures Thanks 🙂 It was in 2000 - I stayed with friends near Sydney and loved visiting the city and surrounding area 😀

Well, what a gem is Mt Gambier! You've shown me once again how little I know Oz - so many places to visit. Sue, I loved the 'pretty bloody average' comment. You both are such lovable true-blue (well, honorary blue for Nigel) cards. Thanks.

It’s incredible how much there is to see in this country. But it is very big! Thanks for watching.

It’s crazy how many there are. I was seriously worried tone was going to collapse under us. Maybe I just watch too many shows like La Brea

Really interesting vlog. Thank you. We did a dive in a cenote in Mexico. It was amazing but also a bit scary!

Thanks guys! How was the water temperature in the Mexican Cenote? They are only 15 degrees celsius here - pretty cold in my book!

@@nigelandsueadventures I don’t remember it being too cold, but then again when I look at the photos we did have full wetsuits on.

Love watching your travels in another fantastic video Sue & Nigel. I visited Mt Gambier just under 40 years ago when I was young & fit enough then to see all the sights & do all the walking. Unfortunately I didn't take the chance, through watching your stunning videos at least I get to see everything now.😊😊Not too keen on seeing a snake though!! My friend & I (my ex, Chris) are planning to travel all over Australia from early 2025, once he retires. We've been planning to do these trips for over 36 years ago from when we first met. We too are hoping to do it in a van just like yours, we love your layout & build and hope to have the same except for the sleeping arrangements, we're wanting 2 single beds. 😂😂 Summer's soon on the way, looking forward for more of Nigel's dives😅😅 Another shout out to your stunning beautiful videos, great content, we love watching & following you both. Looking forward to the next video, Safe travels, Much love, Kay ❤❤

Hi Kay, what a lovely message, thank you so much for taking the time to write to us. We always love hearing from our community and knowing that we can inspire people. We are really excited for you and Chris to start your own adventures around Australia, there are so many cool things to see in our beautiful country. I'm sure you'll be able to find a van with two singles, even converting a double to 2 singles wouldn't be too hard if its anything like ours. Thanks again, Nigel and Sue

Have you considered a rating system for the breweries you visit - maybe a 1-5 scale with a description of each rating e.g. 1 is not recommended while 5 is must be drunk immediately? BTW (retired language teacher hat on) the 'i' ending e.g. 'cacti' is Latin, but we don't use Latin now, so 'cactuses' is fine common English. Mt Gambier's caves are fascinating.
@nigelandsueadventures
@nigelandsueadventures 8 месяцев назад
The ratings tend to get higher if you drink more beers!! Haha. And thank you for clarifying the cactuses.

Great video. We had hoped to get over to Mt Gambier to explore the area however, some unexpected changes to our plans made it not possible. I'm glad I got to see it through your cameras. By the way ... Have you thought of joining something like Amazon's affiliate program and puting links to your gear and other bits and pieces you love down the bottom of the description of each video? I'm wondering what drone you are currently using and the approximate cost. 🤗💕

Thanks Lynne! We are in the Amazon affiliate program and yes we should put some links in the videos. We just have it in our website for the stuff we used in the van. I’ll get a link for the drone for you 😉
