Mount Garfield is one of the best I've done in the White Mountains so far. Standing at 4501' it's still only the 17th highest peak in NH. That being said, the views are astounding even on a hazy day like this. You're stood dead center of all the crown jewels in the White Mountains while able to stare out at the vast valley below. This is not a strenuous hike, but coming in at 10.5 (more than a half marathon) miles round trip and 3500' of elevation gain, you will be feeling it the next day. Bring 3L+ water and plenty of food, take your time, and you should be back to the parking lot in about 6-7 hours.
