Love love love this video. I especially love that the sun came back out towards the end. Beautiful. Have you done Quest for the Crest? It also summits mt Mitchell. I am doing that one in May. Wonder those two compare. Keep up the great work!!
It’s a beautiful area. Yes, I believe I have done every ultra at Mt Mitchell, Quest for Crest 50K, Mount Mitchell Challenge 2x, Hellbender 100M and Heartbreaker, of course. Don’t forget to stop by Vortex Donuts in Asheville after your race, it’s a must do for me every time I am in the area:-)
Thank you for putting this video together! I was out there that day for my very first ultra, and what an introduction it was! I was so focused on the task at hand I took very little photos and really no video so this helped me relive it a bit and give others a window into what it entailed. I was just behind you (finished half an hour later) and got to see some people in the video I saw throughout the day. I’m sure we crossed paths at some point. It sounded like it wasn’t what you hoped for time, but still a killer run, man! Congrats!
