God is there anything Wario can’t afford? Stadiums, a colosseum, a gold mine, a battleship yard, and now a mountain with a dam and clearance for skiing and snowboarding that ends with an Olympic winter games style stop and a cabin in the back. Man are we sure Wario is greedy? Because that’s pretty generous for a rude man who spends his life treasure hunting
Incoming lore video on how Wario is secretly the most generous, selfless, giving character in the Mario continuity, and we've all just been lead by the nose for all these years into believing he's a terrible, greedy person.
My favorite thing about this track is how you think it's just gonna be another ice track (the beginning camera only pans over the end of the track) and next thing you know you're driving through a cave, alongside a dam, and frantically weaving through a forest line. It feels like you're starting off on the planned course before unexpectedly detouring through all those places before you finally make it back onto the course for the final ski ramp.
Virgin Mario: stuck with bland circuits. Chad Wario: Stadiums, Colosseums, Gold Mines, Ships, and now a Mountain I would KILL for the next game to have a Warioware track
I genuinely cannot believe this song. It is almost too good for words. The absolute audacity it has to be this unfathomably amazing will always have me in awe.
Ppl arent talking about that first section it's super underrated. The drums are crisp and the most clear of any section, the violin intonation is stellar, those small piano hits in the background make it sound bouncy and light. It really sells the "opening gambit" feel.
0:00 - 0:50 : Starting line to first gate 0:50 - 2:00 : First gate to forest section 2:00 - 3:10 : Forest section to second gate 3:10 - 4:05 : Second gate to finish line
Section 3 is still my favorite, music wise. It’s building so much tension with the combination of the violin, trumpets blaring high notes, alto sax and guitar going hard and bari sax giving out some crunchy low notes making for an excellent penultimate section! And then section 4 kind of sucks a lot
I commented this before but I’d like to say it again because it’s so true. That 2:09 is more like “The Devil Went Down to Mount Wario”. And oh boy he finished 12th.
Can i just give some appreciation to Dave for making this for us to listen to! Like it's good enough that at first all the track songs and their frontrunning versions were isolated separately, but then years later he immediately comes back to continue doing the music for the dlc songs, even going back and editing titles when dlc tracks share base game songs. Not to mention that tracks with multiple song variations have each version isolated separately with their own frontrunning version., and the f zero tracks having their unique themes present. And now after years he comes back to medley the variations of some tracks together for even better listening. The effort taken to do this would be INSANE so thanks a bunch! Lastly i love how the tracks with different regional names have one name for the normal version and the other for the frontrunning, it's a small touch but it's funny, if only dk summit was included it would be perfect! Oh and of course organising them all in a playlist in order for our listening pleasure. If you see this dave my one request is a frontrunning only playlist in case we want to listen to only those version without skipping the normal ones.
I love the third part of this track, the beat of the music is just AMAZING !!! The solo of the violin does is just fantastic. And the swerving throw the woods is so hard at 200cc, it's so fun.
There has been music that made me smile, music that made me cry, and music that made me feel an air of wonder. But this is the only music that has ever made me want to *LAUGH.* The energy of this song cannot be copied in any form; it is simply way too powerful.
I didn't even know this was a Wario track cuz I play the game in French who translates the name of the track as "Descente givrée" who means Frosty Descent
dude i do not get how this is a 1st track in a cup. everything about this track feels like a last track in a cup, including the music and the overall track design. just shows how good the star cup and base mariokart 8 is.
Does anyone know how to trigger the colour change on the starting helicopter’s little status lights? I’m sure they’re supposed to turn green after the ramp fully lowers, but more recently whenever I play the course they stay the initial yellow.
And this track hasn't been used for the Winter Olympics with Sonic...why? Seriously, this game came out in May 2014! (the original, not Deluxe, don't worry, you're not that old)
Bro the track is a banger as well name one part of the track you dont like. You drop out of a PLANE! Then you drive in-between two mountains then you drive through an ice cave. Then you drive through a Dam. Then you go through a forest. And for the Last part you go down a whole ski resort.
