In Episode Three of our Mountain Days Vlog we head up the Crib Lem Spur (also known as the Llech Ddu Spur) on Carnedd Dafydd. This is a lovely grade 1 scramble that sits in a wonderfully isolated position on the Northern side of the Carneddau Mountains in Snowdonia. It's isolation means that it is often quiet, even on busy days at weekends or holidays when Ogwen and Llanberis are heaving with people.
With perfect weather I fly from the summit on my lightweight Niviuk Skin 3P single skin paraglider which saves the knees and gives a lovely way off the summit.

Epic video dude. You’ve made me want to start paragliding down as I hate the down climbs.

That is a really great scramble! And then to be able to fly down must be amazing fairplay 👍 how do you go about practising such an activity? And might seem a stupid question but do you ever get a fear of the heights involved? Cheers 👍

Thanks very much. I’ve made another video which looks at how to get into the sport here, and yes you do get used to the heights 😀👍 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lR4cXmKPuHA.html

Thanks Rob what a great video, I really enjoyed it. A shame about the bumpy camera at the end but hey ho. Could you not fit it to a chest harness?

Lovely end to my (tedious) day. Enjoyed that. I can't wait to get back to Snowdonia again. Maybe in a couple of weeks :-) The idea of flying down from the peaks is very appealing. Maybe one day.

Really fantastic video. I also had some problems with my chase cam in the turbulence initially, it's got to sit above the pilot and out of his wake. I had a quick question, I also have a Niviuk Skin 3P, fantastic wing. I have the impression that it has a much shorter take-off run than normal paragliders. Would you agree?

Hey, thanks very much. Mine was user error because I forgot to screw out the tail on the chase cam to look the fins into place. Too much excitement :-) I had an Advance Pi2 before my Skin 3P and that definitely needed a bit more of a breeze to get it in the air which I guess would translate to a longer take off run. I don't pretend to have loads of experience with other gliders though.
