I would recommend reducing the Mountain Dew down on the stove first to remove some of the water from it. You will get a smoother ice cream as well as a more condensed flavor.
IronRangr yup I make ice cream this way regularly. It gives you tons of customization options for flavoring. Though I would recommend reducing Mountain Dew on the stove first to get rid of some of the water so you get a smoother ice cream.
I use the same recipe, but I use Mountain Dew voltage, because it’s my favorite. I add the same amount of it, and add blue food coloring. I also use code red with red food coloring.
I love sprite floats with fruit flavored sherbet. You just made me want to try that with mountain dew instead of sprite. Also made me want to try a mountain dew float with this ice cream you made...👍
I've been trying to find a version of Mtn Dew Ice Cream for an ice cream maker but keep getting this one. I wonder if just mixing this up and putting it in my machine would work without having to use the mixer or if I should just use my standard vanilla ice cream base recipe I have and just add Dew to that
Prior to adding the green food coloring, I would’ve separated the mix and added two different food colors, and combined the two before freezing. Maybe green and dark blue. 💚💙
So from what i can see the recipe goes like this Frozen bowl 1 600ml carton of whipping cream I large can of sweetened condescenced milk 1 sprite or lemonade or mountain dew Food colouring I thinknthats all I saw!... couldnt hear a thing My ears arent good
