Good on you for bailing on the summit. Excellent mountaineering decision, now we get to see the beautiful images you captured instead of reading about you in the paper. Nice work, thanks for sharing!
Very sensible move Alex. I was feeling uncomfortable just watching but I’m not good with exposure. Very informative and enjoyable vlog. Hope you’re feeling better. Thanks for sharing Linda
Amazing location Alex, some really lovely shots too, don't blame you for heading back and not going up that hill, best be safe than sorry eh, feck that! Great video really enjoy watching. 👍
Let's go down a list of things I like to see when watching you tube videos.... landscape photography, tick... adventure, tick... inspiration, tick.....learning, tick.....great images, tick . Yup, seems you cover all the important bits for sure -:) Seriously though Alex, great viewing as always and reading through the comments it is obvious that you are creating great content which in the long run can only enhance your profile in the Landscape photography field, I hope so anyway. Hope you have fully recovered from the cold and have a great trip to the Drakensberg.
Fantastic image at the end mate really liked that detail glad to hear you got back okay sounds like you had a nasty cold still good to see you had a really good time and be safe mate
Another very nice video. I'll trade you my voice for conditions like that anytime :))) I'm not a huge fan of horizontal lines in the foreground for mountain-top photography like these (i would personally prefer a curve leading the eye towards the distance) but i suppose it doesn't apply everywhere (and it also depends on the focal length you were shooting at) and of course it's also a subjective matter.
Horia Bogdan you have to work with what is available ultimately. It’s preferable to have lines leading into the view certainly, but if they don’t exist it’s a rather hard goal to fulfil!
@@alexnail True story :) Nonetheless, i really do enjoy your field videos as well as the image discussions afterwards, as you are one of the clearest and most straight forward guys i know out there who speak about compositions and slight errors that might have transpired during image taking...so looking forward for the next one :)
