Can't blame you, I had it on some woodstock video cassette and watched it over a 100 times too and still must watch it even these days from time to time :D
Just imagine sitting out in a field on a Saturday night with this killer music blasting out over the stoned masses, from those huge PA's at Woodstock.. i can see those half naked/topless Hippie Girls dancing now..Damn! West's tone on that little Les Paul Jr is absolute perfection.
Just a beast of a man laying down some solid licks with other fine players. Mountain rocks. I'm glad I found this video. Underrated band, and buy some of the stuff I've read actually stole the show at Woodstock. Anyone who was there? Like to hear from you.
Thank you. I did this job in Adobe Audition. Besides the regularization of the volume I did a work of balancing the tones, increased the relevance of the guitar sound in a specific plugin and at the end corrected the dyssynchrony between audio and video, which were rendered by the official company in a wrong way.
@@videosauxiliares valeu cara eu costumava ligar esse som a todo volume no meu uno viajando pro psicodalia la por 2011, mas so no carro com meu som porque o vl era baixo mas agora tu resolveu.
After he finishes the first verse West looks at Felix and mouths "come on" and away they went...From the video I've seen Mountain was the best band at Woodstock.
@@RoyalTy37 That is where it was. I had it at Woodstock. Yeah it was Monterey. I wasn't there first read that in a book my mom gave me about rockstar in the 70s. Guess I mixed it up beings Monterey was the other Woodstock. Funny just saw Monterrey movie. Thanks. T. ReX had a blowout performance as John's Children fronting The Who too. Best I can do is a guy use to play at our bar in a band Toby Redd.was on stage at the GRAMMYS he keeps time in RHCP and sitting in with Sammy Hagar in Chickenfoot. 🍔🍟🍕🍦🍩👈😀👉🍸🍸💪👦
I'm here because I love Mountain and Leslie West. But I was at Woodstock and they went over big, especially for an unknown band. But they were far from the best band there. As someone else commented: "one of my favorite Woodstock moments".
So many great performances at Woodstock were left off the album and out of the movie. Mountain is one of them. ND Smart was eased out of the band not long after and replaced by Corky Lang. Since Corky Lang was a more hard driving rock drummer it was a good choice as far as the sound of the band goes.
Love this!..awesome !...times he looks like an ogre chewing on a tasty baby!..players don't seem to mouth their solos anymore Rory Gallagher did this at times too...
I wonder how Mountain was recieved at Woodstock? I heard they were an unknown band that played the prime Saturday night spot and played louder than anyone, including the Who. But what did the audience think of this in '69?
This is pretty good but since this has atm 34K views and the original studio cut has like 7K it feels right to inform y'all that the studio version is faster and has a more solid rolling groove.... umm... kinda more like a Southbound Train if ya catch my drift. If you like this be sure to check out the studio cut. It's a Rocker. That said, Thanks for the up and more importantly for the good editing job. Kudos.
Felix (the bass player) produced disraeli gears and some more stuff for cream. Jack Bruce wrote "theme for an imaginary western" which mountain recorded.
@@avi_s0ncin0 I had almost forgotten how much of an influence mountain was on me. Even later combinations were great (west, Bruce and laing etc.). No one could ever challenge that kind of talent. Leslie ROCKED like no one before or after. He will be truly missed! R.I.P. Leslie....and all the other greats who had crossed over. I wonder what he can do with a harp? Lol. Rock on leslie.
Consider The #1 song this year was "Sugar Sugar" by a f'ing CARTOON band created by the worlds biggest a-hole producer so he would not have to deal with "musicians" (his own words!) Man, I cannot get too much of this vid/version of this song.
West stares at Jimi Hendrix: Wondering why Leslie West keeps staring to his right? That was because Jimi Hendrix had come out to the side of the stage to witness Leslie chop at his guitar. Jimi Hendrix and MOUNTAIN had the same manager..
@@buellosaurusrex He's the manager . Warren was posting about Gail shot Felix. Could be Jimmy . He's standing next to a Mountain. This is twice as long. He can whail and plays the whole thing there . Was Blues Traveler trying to borrow his persona or wha?
