In my opinion to be honest being from J.Lane I can say both sides are sick of waring but the thing is nobody wants to procreate and get rid of the criminals around both areas I`m not saying I`m Jesus or anything but it`s the mentality of the nation because being a young person myself I say this war has nothing to do with my generation at all its just bad blood I`m not saying one side innocent because that would be bias because we know the truth I used to go school with my friends from Oliver road and we used to link up at Norman gardens but since war the place torn apart and we were forced to stop being friends because of old blood spilt for nothing as I said it is the psychology and mentality of the nation because being a young person I have never heard someone say that they want to become prime minister or the next lee chin or butch Stewart so in my opinion not everything is to be blamed on the government because this feud can be dealt with if both sides just say ok drop it but the maturity isn`t there as I said it's the mentality of the people because when I look at it around the world every hilly region with a ocean view is booming in business everything bounces back to the Jamaican mentality upholds with crime and slackness I know I`m gonna get ridicule but whatever me as a young youth done see is the mentality of the nation because in 2020 we had the worlds highest murder rate and that a foolishness because more corrupt nations are out there that doesn`t kill on rapid like us because I remember I used to go to Oliver and Lucas road without any problems a example the supermarket shut down due to violence the fact of the matter the mentality breeds killing machines and if the nation isn`t mature enough it won`t change being a young man I know that you got to know your facts before you have an opinion neither side is innocent because if Jamaicans really wanted improvements we increase the GDP because being a young male I can say few males are qualified for occupations waiting on opportunities instead of making them because the culture has shifted to where females are starting to take over and working with my colleagues they try to emasculate because a lack of male presence and I need to consistently assert myself but as I said its just the mentality because trust me a lot of J.Lane people have Oliver road friends and family members who they can`t see and trust me both sides are hurt.

King, many people are fighting but they don't know why and who orginated the conflict. Some Jamaicans look to the wrong people for guidance. Some individuals manipulate and make others carry out acts on their behalf. I am glad you shared this information about the cause of this community conflict. Those involved are fighting a battle with clear objectives. All warriors going into battle MUST have clear target and objective. So much time and lives have been wasted.

I don't really know the truth about it, so I have to remain neutral. I also doesn't make those things my main concern, since most of my time is spent/used to help preventing children from killing each other, as their own way of life. "Prevent is better than cure". It was said that he was doing a lot of killings constantly-- without mercy-- on the opposition party supporters. They couldn't manage him so a next set of ones from the said opposition party, or maybe sympathizers of such party, then planned a strategy. They invited him to smoke a peace pipe with them and told him that he didn't have to carry a weapon or take anyone with him because it wouldn't be necessary, due to the fact that it would show that he is interested in peace and agree that bygones be bygones. Generally in cases as these, someone would try to suggest to him before he left alone that he shouldn't trust that offer. However, if you trust someone you will take unusual chances. If he ignored that suggestion had it been offered to him, this would mean that he had trusted whosoever had invited him and decided to go regardless. It was said that while he was there ( I am not sure how long) guests from the host / hosts that had invited him came out of a room and surprised him. One, maybe the leader, commanded him to say his prayer, (most likely reciting a particular passage from the bible) then he was shot or hit with a barrage of bullets and killed. It was said that he had lots of babymothers who came on the scene and wept for him, in Shanty town where he was killed. Some maybe were still pregnant while others already had their child or children. People don't usually forget that. It should be taken into consideration also, that if he had committed murders unnecessarily, then those victims had mourners too. There's a saying that if you live by the gun you'll die by it. I am sure that there are many people who die by the gun and didn't live by it. In this case, I don't know what he is guilty of and neither did I know the man. Regardless who had started it first or not, both sides will have staunch supporters who will definitely have preferences, and may deny the other of whatsoever right or justice they deserve. This is nothing new. If a suh de ting set, den we affe live wid it. If there's hope though, and the hatred towards each other stops, then we'd surely make a giant step to progress. Unfortunately, not to be pessimistic, that is only a fantasy, since love for self by some, will never be a part of their curriculum. Anyway, what to be will be. Well, I can remember we (Fortis/J Lane) reached a level of good understanding with each other during early 90's til somwtime during bout 02. I don't kno what went xrong after I turned my back to go do better.. I remember being on J Lane almost daily & never had a bad vibe with them.
No offense but I think you're trying to connect dots in an incorrect manner. The Bloun story may be true (I'm actually not sure), but the recent shootings (for back in 2017/18) was due to a specific deal that went bad and the two parties felt sour towards each other. Actually those kids from Jarrett lane and Oliver Road were good friends but they got too emotional and didn't want to resolve the conflict without violence. Also, back in those days when Flash, Brown, Copper etc. were running the place people from rockfort and mountain view used to hang out all the time in each others' communities, so it wasn't strange to see steppers from Mcgregor and Nannyville hanging out in Scheme or Shanty Town and vice-versa. My elders are from Mcgregor used to always hang out in Shanty Town and Glasspole and when I used to go back more often I would always visit Warrieka Hills and feel safe no problem.
