I spent a year in Thailand when I was in the Air Force. To give some idea of how excellent the food was, the only meal I ate on base was breakfast--all the rest were downtown, often in tiny places with swept dirt floors. That was 46 years ago, but I'll never forget the experience.

he did make a pretty uninformed comment at the beginning of the vid...1:27...last i checked, L.A and the greater L.A area has the most diverse range of authentic Asian food in the entire United states.. i'm sure his food is good, but he's not doing anything super original in L.A...
