Right around 5:39 you passed an opening in the fence around the Irvine Ranch Historic Park. You can access the park during open hours through this back gate. I ride this area often, it can be hot in summer so mornings are best!

Thanks for sharing! I love this beautiful, scenic trail. It’s so clean and peaceful and generally safe. I biked all the way to Peter’s Canyon. It’s mostly downhill on the way back. Fun ride!

@@stayreal4l284 do you live near coastal HB? You can ride down the HB coastal bike path south to Newport Beach, cross PCH and connecting with the back bay loop, north to the entrance of the mountains to sea trail (P1) and ride by UCI all the way connecting to the San Diego creek bikeway. Which will take you all the way to the Spectrum! Other than crossing PCH that’ll be almost all bike path riding. Quite a journey I must say but doable!

@@TrailsofCalifornia hey thanks for that information, I live in borderline HB/ Costa Mesa! I just looked it up and it’s very accurate to what you’re saying. Although it does mention a “freeway trail” that runs along the 405, are you familiar with it?
