So... what's the plan for when you recieve a packet over ethernet and need to forward it out over a VPN which means you need more buffer space for the headers? Your choices are basically just copy to a larger buffer or pre-allocate some unused space at the beginning of every buffer and hope that's enough right?

J have a newbie question: is zero copy that efficient memory wise? An IP header === 160bits ~= 3x64bits pointers.
